Question about HP Office Equipment & Supplies

I no longer have the disk to add my 7210 all-in-one to my pc after experiencing virus problem and having to remove all programs. Is there a way to download the disk info.?

The download was for a processor which did not relate to my issue. However, visiting other pages, reading the comments, solutions, and the antiochpc, the information I needed was provided.

Unfortunately, I didn't access this information until after I provided a rating for the solution. So, Instead of inappropriate, I would say the problem was solved.

My Gateway computer is extreamly slow. Could the processor be the problem?

A slow computer could be caused by a number of things - 1. Insufficient RAM (memory) - if your computer has less than 512Mb of RAM then increase it to at least 1Gb of RAM. 2. Registry problems - clean and repair the registry, it will contain unused registry keys. Use programs such as Registry Mechanic, Microsoft RegClean etc. 3. Uninstall/remove unused programs, this will also free up hard disk space. 4. Not enough hard disk space - swap file space may need to be increased if Windows hasn't been configured to manage it. 5. Install latest Windows updates. 6. Update virus definition files and scan computer for viruses, Trojans, malware etc. 7. Clear the Internet cache for faster browsing. 8. Hard disk maintenance is required at least once a month to keep it functioning efficiently. Run the following programs - Disk Cleanup - removes temporary files that are no longer used and to recovers hard disk space. Disk Defragmenter to make fragmented files into contiguous files and therefore the hard disk access is faster.

My Acer computer is 18 months old and now its saying I need a disc to use it as the settings need updating

Hi lexie, if your PC has a license operating system and at the control panel the automatic update is enabled, every time you access the net it will download updates in your PC and automatically install it discreetly, you may find your PC slowing down because of the updates incurred worst it will eat up your hard drive space and it will become near full. I suggest that to free some disk space there is an option in you control panel add/remove programs to uninstall updates, the other is perform disk clean up to remove unnecessary old files from your hard drive. Cheers!

It is frozen on some screen and i cant get utube to work its really getting annoying can anyone help? this is for the nextbook 2 adroid os 2.1

If your experiencing a slow computer performance, what you can do is to delete some unwanted files and folders and remove all the unwanted programs on the computer. After removing files and programs, run the Disk Defragmenter application on your windows as it will help optimizing the performance of your computer.

- click start > all programs > accessories > system tools > disk defragmenter
- click defrag

To remove programs, go to control panel > programs and features / add remove programs > uninstall

Cheers . .

Backed up my pc to a removable disk, what should i uninstall

A good place to start is the 'add/remove programs' section in Control Panel. Go down the list and un-install programs that you no longer need.

Cannot scan the computer due to unfinished scanning earlier. the scan log is corrupted (scan has not finished properly). what to do?

You have not specified the AV program you are using and if you have its install disks. Anyway. If you have the AV disks then go to Control Panel->Add Remove Programs and after selecting this anti virus program uninstall it. Reboot the PC. and reinstall the AV program.
If you do not have the AV disks then uninstall it the way explained above. Then connect to the net and download free version of AVG anti virus from www.download.com and install it.
