Question about Saeco Odea Go

1 Answer

I can't remove the brew group nor can I replace the coffee grounds drawer. It appears that a mechanism is out of place in the upper left corner of the brew group that blocks the tall part of the grounds drawer to go back in. Plus, this is probably what is keeping the brew group lodged in. What can I do?

I removed the brew group and it is now stuck in the remove position. I cannot replace it in the machine. The lever that says push is stuck in the pushed position

On the inner side of the brew group (The side opposite the hand grip) there is a small rectangular slider mechanism with a vertical tab that sticks out and a catch near the funnel where the ground coffee is deposited. This slider must be in the correct position in order for the brew group to be inserted properly. If this slider is in the upper position, push gently on the catch so that the slider slides downward about 5mm or 3/16 inch. (I am replying from memory - it is possible that the slider must be in the upper position to engage). This will realign the funnel slightly and release the thumb lever, allowing the brew group to be inserted.

The brew group is stuck and will not come out

I hope one of this two solutions solve your problem.

1- The brew group is out of place. Turn the machine on. Close the service door.
The brew group is automatically placed in the correct position.

2-Coffee grounds drawer is inserted. Remove the dregdrawer first, then the brew
group.

You must make sure that the brew unit is ready to reinsert into the machine. To return the brew group to the centered position, you first need to drop the funnel. To do this, look on the opposite side of the brew group from the handle. At the top you will see an object that looks like a sharks fin. If you follow this piece down you will see 2 horizontal bars on the brew group body. Push your finger between these 2 bars and the funnel will drop. Now you can push the puck slide on the left side down and to the center. If you look down through the funnel you should see a piston. This should be centered in the funnel. If not, locate the slide on the left side of the brew unit,( it should be hanging down, a flat rectangular piece attached to the cylinder) and push the slide to the right until it does. Push the press button and you are now ready to reinsert the brew group in to the machine. First you must close the door with the drip tray and dreg drawer inserted and turn on the machine without having the brew group in. You will hear the motor turn on and when it stops completely, open the door and remove the tray, and dreg drawer, now replace the tray and insert the brew group. If it still won’t go in check the cog in the back of the machine. There are 2 wide teeth that should be at the 10:00 and 12:00 position. If they are at a different position you have a broken drive gear.

The brew unit light is steady on and I cannot get an expresso. The pump and steamer work fine.

HI
Open the door and remove the dredge drawer, then the brew unit. Slide the brew unit back in , then push on the upper left side of the brew unit until it clicks. Close the door and push the dredge drawer back in with 1 finger on the right side of the dredge drawer. See if that worked. If it did, then loosen the nut behind the coffee dispenser to release tension on the brew group, then tighten again. Lube the receiver tip on the brew unit.

Saeco talea touch - grinds & brews coffee into grounds drawer??

Try this, adjust the grind to a coarser setting atleast 2 numbers, then remove brew unit and look behind at white plastic valve, there is a small chamber under valve make sure chamber is clean and that the small discharge from chamber to drain tray is also clear. Then remove shower screen from brew unit and clean if necessary, also check the tube from the shower. Reinsert and test.

Saeco Magic De Luxe Espresso Machine Control Panel Doesn't Work

Do you have any of the left 3 lights on the top row? If you have the one that looks like 2 arrows pointing towards each other do this

Brew group missing indicator
Open the door on the right. Push on the upper left side of the brew unit until you hear a click. Close the door and see if the message is gone. If it is make sure that the grounds drawer is in place.
Tip: Pull the grounds drawer out, then push it back with only 1 finger and push it on the right side of the drawer. This will make sure that it engages the micro switch.
