SOURCE: drain stopper in the bathtub has come off how do

the stopper just sits in the hole. When you turn the knob the cable operates the piece that raises and lowers the drain plug. The weight of it and the suction of the water is what seals it....provided the o-ring is good on the plug.

SOURCE: Jacuzzi rotary drain

I don't understand the bend down rhing. The drain stopper, as you call it, has a rod that goes through the end of it to enable opening and closing with the vertical control. If I'm on the same page, under the sink on the backsie there is nut that holds the stopper control.. It has a nut you need to remove and line up the short end with the stopper slot, then put the nut back on to secure the ball. Don't overtighten. Now the log end of that same rod is secured with a spring clip to the un and down control rod . It can be adjusted by moving the spring clip up or down on the control rod. noyhing isbroken, just pulled apart or out of adjustment.

SOURCE: need parts for a 30 year old jacuzzi toilet

Depending on what the innards look like, you can spend $15 at a home center like Home Depot for a toilet replacement parts kit. They're easy to install (about 30 minutes) and fix most common toilet issues.

If this won't work you might need to contact a plumbing supply company in your area. You'd be surprised what they have in inventory....

How to remove bath tub pop-up stoppers

Put the lever in the open position so that you can grab the stopper. After you get a grip on it, put the lever in the closed position and the drain plug and rocker assembly will pull out in a horizontal direction.

Clogged drain on moen bathroom sink

There should be a stopper valve on the sink's downspout (the first section of drain pipe). You SHOULD be able to loosen the nut holding the stopper valve's lever inside the pipe. Once you remove that nut, you can pull the lever out - that releases the stopper inside the sink, so you should start with the stopper OPEN, and hold it open with a chopstick or pencil or other tool when you remove that lever.

The lever and the bottom of the stopper itself will be wrapped with masses of hair. That's normal. Clean it up and reinsert it, put the nut back on & snug it down, then readjust the stopper.

If that's not enough, you may need to open the trap (the gooseneck-shaped piece of drain pipe under the sink) to clean it out.

I am missing the drain stopper for a Jacuzzi Signa 6 whirlpool. This is a round disc with a short metal stem on its underside.

Drain plugs on bathtubs are generic in size. Jacuzzi does not make them. They are made by other Mfg and installed by your local plumber when the tub is installed.

I can not close my bath tub drain. the plunger is all internal and wont come out either. I tried a coat hanger to push it down. no go.

on most tubs the stopper is made to come out! does the stopper have 2 screws at the stopper lever. if it does just remove these screws and pull the stopper out slowly. when putting in a new one. have the same length as the old one, then slide it back in the drain fairly slow until it goes all the way in. replace screws and try it! good-day!

I would consider replacing the trip waste with a newer still. That still has a lot more linkage then the newer one and that's way no one uses then anymore I not sure you can buy them now.
The main reason why I say replace it now is the linkage tends to collect a lot more debis such as long hire it will stop up continually.

There should be athreaded adjustment rod in the linkage that you set up or down to make the stopper seat in the tee that connects the overflow line to the drain on th bottom of the tub. Hope this helps you. Thanks

How do you get hair out of a drain that is in a Jacuzzi. Can I unscrew the drain stopper or can I remove the chrome plate further up the tub?

unscrew what ever is covering the hole where the water drains out,.... use a pair of needle nose pliers or an old coat hanger with a little hook pre-bent in it (don't get it stuck in there) and pull out the hair,....it's that easy! good luck, cracklin joe

Tub drain wont stay open

If this is a trip lever waste type of drain it can be adjusted, Remove the 2 screws that hold the adjusting lever, this will allow you to remove the stopper. Clean the stopper of hair and sludge and replace. This will usually fix the problem. If not then adjust the linkage for the stopper.

DRAIN

I take it that you removed the drain trip linkage and stopper through the vent hole .
You must now run a small hand or small power snake the less than eight feet to open the drain.
You can also plug up the vent, tightly and  try a flat plunger on the tub drain .

Bathroom tub drain clogged

If you have a popup/ plunger type drain stopper controlled by a lever at the overflow, then, yes, it would be a great idea to remove that. They commonly add to drain problems.

Remove the two screws at the overflow plate (the one with the lever for stopping the water). Be careful that the gasket between the tub and overfow does not fall out when you fully remove the screws. Pull out the stopper assembly. You may have to jiggle it somewhat. Clear your drain some more and run a little water in it. Then replace the stopper assembly, making sure to keep the overflow drain lined up as you screw the plate back in.

You may consider replacing a lever stopper with a "twist and twirl" type.

If you do not have a lever assembly then you may have to use a small hand held snake to clear out the drain
