Why do the sandisk sansa's freeze the day after you purchase them? I guess you get what you pay for.

I read on another online forum: someone's computer was not reading the device. Yet their laptop did with no problem. I could not get my PC to recognize the c240, but when I hooked it to the laptop I was able to use it with no problems. There must be some program on my main computer that is interfering with the recognition (I have XP).

You may need to uninstall an old/ outdated driver first. Here are some of the steps Sandisk recommends and they are pretty common to solutions for other MP3 players.

Sansa c250 vista

All right guys, let me teach you a trick involving this MP3. While it is off turn hold on and hold the back button on the face. (Left button of the square) While holding it plug it in and Vista or any other computer will recognize it as a removable drive like a flash drive so to speak. From there make sure it says its connected on the Sansa and then drag and drop what you like in the recommended place. ^_^ Have fun!

Help!

We have two laptops and one desktop in my house and two 2GB Sansa c250s. My laptop recognizes my sansa c250 differently than our family's desktop (i.e. on the desktop i can't view certain folders/ music files that i transferred from my laptop to my player). The second laptop doesn't recognize mine at all, but it DOES recognize my sister's sansa c250.
my suggestion? try a different computer! and then KEEP using that computer for adding/ deleting files.
