Question about Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

I have a JNC digital voice II RECORDER for 8 years. I have to install it onto my new Window 7 laptop, the installation works OK, the screen showed up after starting the software, I can open some files and hear the voice/music. Then I connected the JVC recorder to the PC with the USB cable, turned the JVC recorder ON, the recorder display says "PC link", but the part of screen that show the current files on the recorder that need to be download did not show up. Is it because of the Window 7? How can I fix it? Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure this is a Windows 7 glitch, but I'm surprised it worked that well at all. I run an older XP computer to accomodate things Windows 7 won't operate, and that's the only fix I've found so far.
Sorry to relay the bad news.

SOURCE: I have a JNC digital concept power voice II

The part which shows the files to be downloaded from the JVC recorder does not open when the software starts up. It only opens when the recorder is detected attached to the USB port. I suggest 1. Start the software. 2. connect the JVC recorder to the PC with the USB cable. 3. Turn the JVC recoder ON. The recoder display says "PC link" and the files to download show up in Power Voice II on the PC. Michael C

I have CENIX Power Voice II digital recorder working with Windows XP...now i have upgraded to Windows 7. what do i do to run it on Windows 7, to download my recordings etc.? pl. advise.

It is not compatible with Windows 7. You can go to the Microsoft Download Center and download and install Virtual PC. It is a console that allows you to run another operating system virtually. One installed you can install Windows XP inside it. From there you can install your application and run it from there.

It does not, and you cannot - I checked. I'm not being mean, but Vista is incompatible with MANY, MANY products, which is why XP has been the standard for over 5 years now. This voice recorder was made before even XP became the standard. You will need an older computer to get it to work.
