Check connection - When you enter into a voice chat with friends, each participant should take turns trying to press and hold down the Press to Talk button. Everyone else should see their name turn red when they do that. Your monitor has become unpaired with your camera. Follow the instructions in the manual to pair them again (basically, tell the monitor piece to Add New Camera while you press the Pair button on the camera). The manuals can be downloaded from www.summerinfant.com.
I turned it on, and pressed the video/live recording button that was next to the trash/delete button. That is a whole other menu. After pressing the video/live recording button, I just went up to the first selection, "Program." That takes it off the basic/Q-Mode, which opens additonal options, like ISO and Date Stamp on/off. So basically:
1) Turn on, having the camera on picture taking mode, not review picture mode.
2) Press Video/Live Recording button.
3) Go to first option, called "Program"
4) In this mode, many other options are available, and there will be smaller icons.
Take your manual reset a little further...remove the card and battery...press all the buttons...leave the camera alone for at least 20 minutes...insert the card and then the battery...turn it on. See if that works.
sounds like internal problem but you can try hard reset by pressing the OK and Menu button at the same time and choose reset camera. also update firmware. else send to repair at olympusamerica.com/repair

Go to the mixer controls. Press the advanced button under the mic mixer control and turn off the mic boost. If the advanced button isn't on, go to control panel, select sound, and make sure that enable advanced features is turned on for both your sound card and your microphone device.
i know this might sound a little obvious and maybe irrelevant to the problem, but did you press the switch on the mic? it will turn the mic on and off. make sure sound and mic are unmuted in windows volume control. if both are these didnt solve the problem, test the mic on another computer. if the mic works, maybe its not the mic that has the problem. if the mic doesnt work, then your mic may be defective or damaged in some way or other.
