Yes i do know the solution but you need to be very careful about that.
That switch actually is a lid protection. That is important because allow the disk to start spinning and recognize the the door closed.
You can bypass that making a bridge soldering connection.Use a voltmeter in ohm and check which leg are connected, i do believe the 2 on the top need to be soldered togheter and the 2 in the bottom.
Good luck.I did few time since there is not spare part available so far and it`s working

UMD drive may have broke during the fall. Unless you can find a replacement and disassemble the psp (which is difficult and very fragile) i would not mess with it.

I broke the power switch on the motherboard of my DS lite when changing the shell. Can that piece be ordered?

Yes, ebay do them very cheap, I just hope you have good soldering skills as you need a steady hand and a good eye to do it. (I know ive fitted enough of them).

If you have any problems with fitting a new switch message me and I will do my best to help you.

yes almost certainly a replacement laser is needed, about £50 if your console is out of warranty.(various places online or ebay to purchase)
Easy to fix.

Wii games that worked fine could have future problems

It is possible that you updated your Wii with a new firmware that was available on one of the game disks. Some modifications do not work anymore after a firmware update. So it might be possible that you have an older modification that Nintendo overrides with a new installed firmware.
It is almost sure that when you remove the modification completely, your Wii is working fine. If so, install a recent modification that is immune for these firmware tricks, dor example the D2Sun

Game wont load on ps3

i had this same problem and the solution to mine was that my ps3 was in my garage and it was too cold in there for the system to operate so i moved it into the living room where it was warm and it eventually began to work

another solution is to just restore the system and then reinstall all of the updates

How to fit the power switch

you have to (obviously) open it up and solder in a new one. I've done it, but it's not trivial. I have lots of experience soldering and it went well, but I would not anticipate that someone without lots of time spent with a soldering iron will be able to do it without burning or lifting traces off the circuit board. The switch is available from many places. I bought mine here: http://www.powergamingparts.com/nintendo-ds-and-nds-lite-on--off-power-switch.html

Ps2 slim

did you try putting the laser reader in your origional lazers place? you might have forgotten a connection, but other than that, im not shure why that would happen unless you broke the connector, or the connector somehow comes undone after you close the ps2 back up. also, have you tried it when you have a cd in it with the safety mechanisms overrided? it should rest in the full out position when you turn it off while a cd is playing in the last track. and just to clarify, is the spindle the linear actuator that moves the lazer head or the thing that turns the cd?
