Image Fades We have a good image when it is first turned on. However, the image fades before you can take a picture. This occurs only for the picture. The video feature stays focused and clear. It is not the battery. Please help.

If you have an tripod that could fix the problem.

The camera could be detecting movement and it doesn't have the movement sensor turned on or it doesn't have one at all.

You might want to check the manual and see.

Error code 2881

Hi,

Found error in image file, Error Occurred, error 0901, 572, 2881
The camera says found error in image file, repair data now. When you press yes it says "Error occurred. Please replace disc." or use ac adapter/charger, turn off power. It won't let you go to Disc Navigation to finalize it. While recording video on DVD-R media the battery power may have failed and camera shut off. When turned on the message shown on the lcd is Found error in image file, Error Occurred, error 0901.

Regards.

My LCD touchscreen on my DCR-SR45 fades to white

To resolve the issue,

Please open the LCD screen to locate the RESET button.
To reset the Camcorder, just press the RESET button using a sharp-pointed object.
Please make sure that the Camcorder is turned on while pressing the RESET button.

If the issue still persists, Power Reset the camcorder.

To reset the Camcorder, please remove the batterypack from the Camcorder and then set the Power Switch to ON for 15 seconds.
Then, reinsert the batterypack after 1 minute and check if that helps.

Sanyo xacti digital camcorder screen not working when opened out

Hi!
It's most likely a damaged LCD cable which goes through the hinge - happens to many camcorders. You will have to contact your local Sanyo service center. I replace these cables for Sony camcorders every day.

Sorry for the bad news, but hope this helps.

You are in luck. Sorry for the trouble but your model Elura 50 still has the CCD advisory from the factory for free repair. Send it in for CCD advisory before it is too late! When all functions are working but has distorted image in camera mode is due to CCD chip. Good Luck -James. for further assitance email, go to www.camerarepairjapan.com

No image (LCD and viewfinder)

first check the iris of the camera if it is opening, you will see this when you look inside the lens of the camera when you turn on and off the switch at camera mode if the iris is opening....if the iris is ok the second problem may occurs of your camera is the ccd image sensor....go to a sony service center for replacing that...i know it is free for replacing that sensor cause that is the recall product not only on sony but in other brand because the manufacturer of their sensor is only one company...:-)

Ripples appear in the image when photographing an object with fine plaids or stripes. How can I fix that?

When you are shooting a subject that has a fine regular pattern such as stripes or plaids, a ripple that does not exist on the subject sometimes appears in the image. An example of this can be seen in the pictures below. The photo on the left shows the fine plaids pattern on the shirt. The photo on the right is a distance shot of the same shirt. In this photo, you can see a ripple that is not visible in the photo on the left. This effect is called the Moire effect. Why does the Moire effect occur? Digital cameras and camcorders are equipped with imaging devices such as CCD sensors and CMOS sensors that have pixels that are finely aligned horizontally and vertically that convert light into electronic signals. When the pixels and the pattern on the subject overlap slightly misaligned, an interference pattern occurs and a ripple that does not exist on the actual subject may appear. This is the Moire effect. Look at the image above. This image shows red cross-stripes and black cross-stripes overlapped slightly misaligned. When you look at the entire image, you find a ripple that differs from either of the patterns. This is the same principle that causes the Moire effect. Preventing the Moire effect You can reduce this effect by changing the distance, zoom setting or the angle of the image. If you are using a camera with manual focusing, the Moire effect can be reduced by simply changing the focus slightly. Reference You may find another Moire effect displayed on the LCD of the camera. As this is caused by the aligned pixels on the LCD, this effect does not necessarily appear in pictures you have taken.
