Question about Nintendo DS Lite Console
WHEN I PUT MY DS ON IT GOES OFF
Posted on Dec 07, 2008
If your still looking for good instructions for replacing a DS Lite case give this one a go . I found it very helpful , when my nieces hinge broke and the top screen ribbon cable got damaged and all it did was go green at power up for a quick moment and the bottom screen flashed and it died.
When you come to replacing the back of the bottom case sellotape is very helpful .Not big bits but enough to hold the volume and power switch covers from the outside after fitting them inside the case . They are easier to line up with the switches on the board inside if they don't move .Be good if they clipped into place .
The Left and Right rear buttons also need a bit of tape to hold them in place cos if they move the little spring will come unclipped .Several times I had nearly got the case back on and I heard a ping noise button still works just not too springy. It seems the small contact switch the button connects with only needs only a small amount of pressure to connect and it pops back knocking the button back .
One more thing don't forget to gently ease the casing over the powerswitch and volume switch .The case won't go over them without help , quite a few people end up snapping the switch of the board.
That it Good Luck
