Re: Flash is not working for Astra pix 570
This seems to be a major fault on the camera main board. There is no repair facility I can suggest. Items such as these are regarded as 'Disposable' so no back up. It may be a known fault- Look on the Umax website - customer support- if it is a known fault or the camera if a recent purchase they may offer to replace it, If all else fail you have nothing to lose to dismantle it to see if it is a mewchanical[switch fault that you or a TV/Computer tech with soldering experience can fix.

Googled until I found others with same problem with this particiular camera - then researched the proper address to send the camera to for repair - after calling to make sure they would still repair the camera.
It seems to be a problem with the power board on your camera. You may have to get it serviced.
However, I am not an expert in these things. Perhaps you'd like to send a message to Computeraid, another expert who has more experience with cameras...
You do not have to rate this solution if you don't want, as I could not really provide a solution. But if you wish, you can rate as "Helpful" or "fixya", as the other two ratings 'Inappropriate' and 'Thanks for trying' are negative rating...
It seems like the problem could be the settings. Try to set the flash manually, and then try to pop it up. If this doesn't work, and since the pop up flash release is electronic, have the camera cleaned at a camera shop. This would be a small price to pay if it works, and would be worth it for such a great camera.
Please let me know if this works for you.
