Question about Mitsubishi WD-62327 62" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television

Picture is crooked

My tv's picture is crooked. It has been like this since I bought it. I don't know how to fix it. It is really noticable when watching something that has a banner across the top, like watching Nascar. I have switched the format from normal to stretch and that didn't work. Also the stupid bulb didn't last but 16 months. Is that to be expected?

A year, to 1.5 years is very normal for bulbs. Just remember they are rated by the hour. The more you use it the faster the bulb goes out.

To fix the picture

NOTE: The TV must be on a flat level surface.
1. From the front of the TV, lift the foam to access and loosen slightly, the brass Rotation Locking Screws on the Adjuster
Assembly, (Use a 10mm wrench.)
2. From the rear of the TV, access the black Rotation Adjustment screw and adjust so the test pattern center lines are
parallel to the sides, top and bottom of the screen frame, (Use a mirror to veiw the picture from the rear of the
set.)
3. Tighten the two Locking Screws. Use Locktite to secure the Adjustment Screw.

Hi,

Is it a Duplicate Question....Wonder why?

Same reply :0

This is an internal Fault. Diagnosis is required to make sure whether it is Failed T Con Board or Light Engine. I do not think that it would really help by changing the TV settings. This was a Common Problem with Old LCD's where you got Blurry Spots specially while Playing Real Fast Movies or Games. On Few Occasions, it as Corrupted Firmware.

As i cannot see the Video or Screen from here, more likely what i could guess it is an Internal Fault as you have tried using HDMI, Use different Setting Combination's and you got the same Picture Quality with DVD as well.

So, what i could suggest, get back to the Seller and Lodge an Official Complain and get it Replaced. There is no point in Opening and TV and Inspecting it and Replacing Components when it was less than a month ago.

Let me know, if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

I have a 52 tv

I would need the model number of the set in order to assist. Often that type of symptom can easialy be fixed depending on what the model number of the TV is.

Tv picture crooked towards bottom right.

I have a philips magnavox and had two problems that I recently fixed using kits from www.TvRepairKits.com. I can't say enough about their kits and help. Without them I would have never been able to fix my TV set myself.

The first problem I had was the TV was looking 3D. After doing some homework I found out that this is a convergence problem. I bought a kit, followed the instructions, and to my amazement fixed it myself.

After building my confidence with the 1st repair I decided to get their CRT fluid kit. This kit fixes the dull video, red video, or bright/halo looking video. If you have a magmavox set that is more than 5 years old your tv has this problem already. It happens on every set. As before I bought the kit, followed the instructions, and now my video looks factory new. Once again I wanted to say thanks to the team at Tv Repair Kits for putting together kits that the average joe can use.

Flashing in Blk,Wht, and a little color

Sounds like maybe your color wheel needs to be replaced. If you have noticed a humming noise in conjunction with the intermittent colors, then that is most likely the issue.
My 51" Vivitek started to hum loudly about 2 months ago and I kind of ignored it ,but it got so loud and annoying I had to do something.First changed the bulb and then bought a color wheel at www.vancebaldwin.com .Login as guest and then enter your model number into corresponding box. They have a few Vivitek parts.
I replaced my color wheel myself and it works great!
I'd be happy to help any way I can.
Good luck!

Small dark area in corner of screen on Samsung HLP5085W

What you have is a lens that has been jarred loose or a plastic support melted. That's what it sounds like anyway. you may have a recall on this problem if it is common for your model. Not likely something you can fix yourself. if you are Gadget inclined you maybe able to though. check recalls first.
