Question about Garmin GPS 72 GPS Receiver
As mentioned before, disabling the wass feature will do away with this problem of the ( DREADED BLUE SCREEN) and having to remove power source then re introducing the power source, only to go through the whole thing again. Or >>> Download the fix via Garmin web site ( free ). You will need the interface cable to transfer the data once download from your computer to the unit though. This cable is approx $ 34.00 u.s.d., and as mentioned on Garmin site, if you screw up the data transfer it will have to go back to factory. The wass feature makes the unit more accurate, but the unit will function very accuratly with this feature disabled...

I have had some success by deleting some of the tracks that were stored in the GPS. Mine was at 100% memory full and it was getting the blue line every few minutes, I deleted the tracks and some other waypoints I didn't use and it has been back and working for me. The next one I get will not be GARMIN GARBAGE!!!
