Sim not found / No SIM Error

I constantly get this error and sometimes even whil on a call, I apparently lose my sim somehow. I assumed the WM5 software was old because I bought the phone when AT&T was still Cingular and since I have even had my SIM card replaced to the newer AT&T version, yet this error still ocurs. Is there some firmware I can update to solve this?

My Samsung Blackjack randomly says "No Sim", usually when I'm in the middle of a call or have just finished a call, but occasionally when I haven't been on a call at all. Seems to happen frequently when I've been on the phone with a family member with a prepaid card.

I took it to the ATT Store and they had no idea what the problem was, but replaced the SIM card with a new one. It's still doing it, so it's definitely NOT a problem with the cards. Anyone got a clue? Better still, can anyone tell me what phone they prefer after giving up on the Blackjack?

Jiggling the connections didn't work. Flashing the ROM didn't work. I am now going to see if I can go back to the original CD and completely re-install Windows Mobile 5 (I never even looked at the CD before honestly so I don't know what's on it). If that doesn't work I'm considering trying the upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.

I have this too and it is driving me crazy! I also got a new sim card, which did not solve the problem. I thought perhaps it was because I had recently replaced the screen, which I had cracked, and maybe when I reconnected things in there something wasn't quite tight enough... but now reading this I doubt that's the case. Still, I'm going to try two avenues: 1) open the thing up and jiggle the little connectors in there, and 2) if that doesn't work, wiping the phone entirely and starting from scratch.

I have a number of aftermarket software packages installed including SmartToolKit, Opera Mobile, Papyrus, and Google Maps. Never had a problem with any of these in the past. The problem just started happening while I was in Delaware and has persisted ever since then. I had not installed any new software recently or anything. It seems to be worse when I'm in spottier coverage areas, like northeastern PA, though I've had it happen right in midtown manhattan too.

It's incredibly annoying. I did find you could turn the wireless manager off and back on and have a maybe 70% chance of it coming back ok -- prior to that I kept rebooting the whole phone which took forever and killed the battery and just ticked me off to no end.

If jiggling and/or wiping work I'll try to post back here.

INVALID SIM

This may be because of your damaged SIM. Try the following:
1. Check whether your SIM is rejected by just putting the same SIM in another phone. Also, check if your SIM is a valid GSM compatible SIM.
2. Check if that your phones SIM slot is fully operational.
3. Check if you have correctly inserted the SIM.

Hope this may help you. Happy New Year to you too.

Dear, I have lost my purse, so it was having Reliance GSM sim card (mo no 8010161672) And so many thing like pan card dl id card debit card. So i want to block this sim (mo no 8010161672)

hi. first lodge police complaint, then submit that copy at mobile center to block that number for the being and also issuing of new SIM with same number with out error. But make sure of this same number if there were no calls exchanged with that SIM once after losing it. with police file, you can track that SIM user if is under use, so that you can collect your other articles without error if possible. and also submit copy of police complaint for blocking debit card usage also. Have fine as early

Why does my phone say sim crash

There is a physical issue with your Sim card reading: Sim may have been slightly dislodged if you accidentally dropped or subjected your mobile to vibration: in most case, just remove the battery AND Sim for a few minutes and carefully re-install both Sim (make sure it fits squarely in the socket/cradle) and Battery and Cover. It should reset the phone.
Hope it helps!

Sim unlock code

hello there....well its quite simple...there is nothing wrong with your phone ...its your SIM... if it is asking for a PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) code...call your subscriber and ask them for PUK code, entering this code will reset your sim
if u keep entering wrong your sim will be damaged so call them
If the error message is saying sim damaged call them and ask for a "sim replacement" you will get a new sim while you will retain the same number ,however you will lose the phone numbers and other data stored in sim, this can be free but it depends on the company and how 'customer friendly they are
Hope this helps
Cheers

Error code # 030730

Had the same problem, phone just seemed to be cut off, tried updating the Sim off the Orange site, but phone was too old for it to update. Phoned Orange explained the problem, and they very kindly sent me a new Sim card, free of charge, I could also keep my old number and credit that I had on my phone, and they even supplied a free phone number to register the Sim when I received it. Apparently the Sim card was faulty even though I had, had the card 11 years with no problem whatsoever, strange that it if fine one day then 'faulty' the next, still hat's off to Orange for quickly rectifiying the problem for me. Phone Orange on 07973100 450 give your phone number but not your 4 digit code, then wait to speak to an person/advisor.

Nokia 6230 insert sim error

Insert sim error could be a problem with the sim card contacts, check if the sim card is locked properly and connections are all clean.

Blackjack no sim card or simcard error

I had the same issue, cleaning the contacts on the sim card did not help. BUT i went and got a new SIM, it did the same thing.. till i wedged some folded up paper into the sim slot on TOP of the sim card forcing it closer to the contacts. So far this is working for me atleast. good luck.
