You could try taking some of that canned air spray and see if that cleans it up.

If cleaning it doesn't help, it could be something going on with the CCD unit.

It should be looked at by a technician.

How do I clean Lense on a Nikon Coolpix S6100 7X Zoom 16MP

you can not clean at your self. Use dry cotton or ear buds for cleaning the lens front side. After that if its still there then use compressed ai in surrounding the lens. After that if the spot still there then you need to visit service center for cleaning the lens internal side.

I have a vivitar vivicam f314 camera and 90% of the photos i take are blurry.there was no manual with the camera so i was wondering if you could help me with the settings so that my photos are good?thank...

ok try changing the pic size your saving your photos as. 4 x 6 is standard. also the more you use the digital zoom the more blurry its going to get. also the subject matter your trying to take pics of may be the problem. try changing your menu functions to sports or action. i am not sure if this helps any but this seems to be the main faults to blurry images other than dirty lenses or film over the lens.

I have dust spots on my pics when I use the zoom. The camera is a Panasonic DMC-FX37. How can I fix this?

Take a micro-fiber cleaning cloth (the ones you use to clean your sunglasses) and clean the lense.

My panasonic Lumix DMC-ZX1 shows 3 dark spots and 2 hairs on all pictures. When I zoom-in the dirt is more visible and when I zoom-uit I dont see the hairs any more and the dark spots appear wider and...

Yes, you can clean. Not as complex as I originally thought.
1) Remove all of the silver screws
2) Separate the silver case (should split in 2)
3) Remove the 3 black screws in the middle
4) remove the center square cover that is over the lens
5) Use a duster spray to clean the lense and mirror
6) Reassemble in reverse order
Not knowing what I was going to get in, the entire process only took about 7-10 minutes.

Email me at malhokc1@yahoo.com with any questions.

Dark spots on my sensor

Are you talking about spots you see on the pictures? Are these spots you see in the same place on all the pictures? If you really want to see if your sensor is dirty pick a clear day with a great blue sky focus to infinity and then shift the lens to manual focus and the program to "P" take a pitch of the blue sky. Then down load this picture to the computer and open it up to 100% and look it over if there are spots then the sensor should be cleaned. Even if you take the lens off and look into the camera body you still can't see the sensor all you are looking at is the mirror inside the prism box.
To clean the sensor you need to put the camera into "clean" mode which locks the mirror up. It may be possible you just have a dirty lens or UV filter.

Spots on the pic picture especially when zoomed in. I think there is dust inside the camera. Can it be taken apart to clean it without messing something up? How?

Hi, if you need to clean your camera from the inside, I´d strongly advice you take it to a shop where they do it for you. It is not easy to disassemble and cleaning is more difficult than one would think. Even a small dust particle can scratch your lenses and the´re then gone.
I advice you against a home cleaning of your camera.

Everytime I try to zoom in the picture just gets blurrier and blurrier. I've cleaned the lense. I even tried switching lenses. It was fine for the other lense...I tried switching all settings. I didn't...

It would be useful to know which lens you are using. Have you tried aiming the AF area to a contrasty spot? If you aim at something which is not contrasty enough the AF cannot focus. It can also happen if it is too dark.
I would also try the lens on another body. A friend or the nearest shop may help there.

Black spot in screen

Nice picture illustrates the problem very clearly. It seems to be out of focus and as it is recorded on your pics ( as I understand), it must be something in the optics. See if you can peer down the lens at the front of the camera to see it there is something trapped between the lenses. You may need a strong light to do this. Shake the camera (gently) to see if it moves.

Let me know how you get on.

cheers
