Go to control panel >> device manager and check what drivers you have.
you might have 2 or more different drivers that are conflicting with each other.
if you have windows 7, then you should try uninstalling all sound drivers from device manager and let windows reinstall it automatically upon restart. If somehow it doesn't install automatically, due to something that was disabled.
you want to check if you installed the right drivers, from my knowledge there are sometimes many types of drivers for the same model computer. just make sure you have the right one. like search more specifically for your model. ex: acer 3690-2196 or 3690-2173 etc
Your computer doesn't have a Bluetooth device installed, usually its installed with the wifi card or its a PCMCIA card, and its doesn't work unless you get one, why did they put that switch there, I'll never know.
Nifty little IDE to laptop ide adapters on ebay for under $10 delivered.. remove laptop HD.. use adapter, plug into desktop as second drive. Load up XP install to a folder.. use a decent file copier so you get hidden files. try filesync 2.xx (look for it), Back into the laptop, try it..
Only other thing would be LEGACY USB SUPPORT in the bios and an external usb drive... Hopefully your usb problem is XP related and not hardware related..
