Videos on YouTube are streamed through Adobe Flash player. If you're having trouble playing videos on YouTube, we suggest you install the latest version of the Flash player.
Please follow these steps to upgrade to the most recent version of Adobe's Flash Player:
Before installing Adobe Flash, you will need to first uninstall any older versions you currently have running on your computer. To do so, download Adobe's official uninstaller here. Make sure to select your correct operating system, and then "Uninstall Flash."
Now that you've uninstalled the older version of Flash, follow Adobe's instructions for reinstalling the most recent version. The download option is on the right-hand side of the page.
Once you've downloaded the file, please exit your browser first, and then install the upgraded version of Flash to you're computer.
Finally, open your browser again and go to YouTube. You should now be able so successfully watch videos!
If the instructions above don't resolve the issue, please also try the following:
Temporarily disable popup blocking software installed on your computer to test.
Allow YouTube.com as a trusted site in your Firewall software.
Ensure other applications like Quicktime, iTunes, Real Player, or Windows Media Player aren't set as the default streaming application, as this might affect the video player.
Try installing Adobe Flash, and update your web browser (go to Help-Check for Updates or alike). http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
Youtube's videos are flash-based so you'll need the flash player installed. Also, many rich-web applications are flash based which also need the flash player to run well. After you download and install the flash player from the link above, everything should work just fine.
If this was informative and helpful, please vote with a Thumb Up. Thank you.
What browser are you using? Firefox? Internet Explorer? I have had this same problem. Try to uninstall the flash player and reinstall it. If that doesn't work and you are using Firefox, try to uninstall and reinstall Firefox, just remember to save (export) your bookmarks first. Good Luck.
