The most common problem of error messages is the lense and the roller. The roller is that moving back and port bringing the lense set,had already many dirt, that stock up of moving the roller. You better take out the unit from your car and open it .You clean the roller by using a lighter fluid or desame kind of that fluid and clean the lense with a cotton buds ,soak the cotton buds with a little plain water and after that , use a dry cotton buds to dry it out and in the roller take the old grease in the roller and replace it with a new grease .Use a type-A class grease. If you finish this all,i assume you that performance will be better.

Hey there denisr, please take look at the display screen on the unit. If you see MONITOR, indicated in the display, then this is your problem . Simply deactivate via the button on the front of your machine. Hope it helps. Good Luck!

Speaker hook

Hi it's a problem in the set up . This model , like few other in the line have the possibility to switch the "back speakers" ( through harness or RCA) into "BASS SPEAKERS" what give you a possibility to hook up a Sub without an extra amp .
To switch it back just follow the Section 2 / Sw control of this link http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/StaticFiles/Manuals/Car/DEH-3300UB_OwnersManual0902.pdf

What your unidentified TV >>requires<< is the BEST Video from every video source. That would be the DVD, SAT Box. It probably has multiple high-end video inputs, right?

What your receiver needs is at least a basic composite video connection to the TV so you can set it up and manage it.

A web search for "Pioneer VSX-D308 manual" will find the manual.

ALL of the BEST Audio should go directly to the Pioneer. That includes the SAT and DVD player.

Your TV can exist just fine with basic audio from the video sources. And you could still watch it/them without the Pioneer turned of if you want.

I can't find the exact manual for free anywhere but if you download something similar like http://www.retrevo.com/support/Pioneer-VSX-D409-Receivers-manual/id/385ci977/t/2/ it should give you the basic guidance you need.

I recommend

Do some web searching for what the cables are for. It's all basic and standard.

Our Pioneer Receiver VSX-312 gave us an OVERLOAD error message while trying to play a DVD and a music CD, and there is no sound. It was really hot. After it cooled off, we tried it again and it did the...

This sounds like the audio power amp has shorted which explains the heat when it failed and the cool temperature when you tried to turn it back on. Usually these recievers have a removable bottom plate that lets you access the bottom of the boards. As there are usually 4-8 transistors along a heat sink that are paired. Check them in diode scale and look for multiple values of 0 from any single transistor. If it gives you 3 or more readings of 0 then its shorted. They also may read low, around 70 or less.In which case it needs to be replaced.

Problems with Sharp Blu Ray Player "copy protected signal"

Possible solution: You set up your remote to run your amp from the TV control, using the AQUOS Link. Even though your amp is out of the loop, it's still recognized by the TV. You might have to reset the TV back to default and run the AQUOS Link again.

Pioneer MT2000 Stereo M-error message for CD

it might be new cd's they have come long ways older players are not excepting newer cd's for some odd reason maken you go out and up grade your players
(thats just wrong)
but try this put in one of your older cd's if it plays that then its the new format cd's that just came out
i havent heard of conversioned cd's dvd's yet but everything bought in 2007 new or older than 2007 is being outsourced to new source cd's dvd's
my opinion if old cd's work then your going to have to upgrade to better system
