Question about ASUS M530W Pocket PC

Input text language

Hello!
I have "Asus M530w" -
I set "input text language" to RUSSIAN, but no idea how to switch the keyboard to write CYRILLIC letters (if it is possible in general)

Update to say that the OP posted to the wrong Category. The item in question is a Kindle not a GPS Unit, and the language is Cyrillic, probably Russian.

apparently, your computer doesn't understand Cyrillic alphabet. You can try to fix it by going to your Control Panel, Regional and Languages and configure your Cyrillic font codes. My ZTE Warp keyboard goes crazy. adds letters, changes words, adds punctuation, capitals, etc. I hit one letter and two or more shows up sometimes. I have changed my settings but nothing helps. Its...


found it,

when texting click on the double arrows directly below the text window.
Then click on the wrench,
then click on "language and settings".
select your language then click "keyboard input".
uncheck everything except for "Keyboard"
also click on"Auto-Selection" and turn it off
also click on "word Completion" and turn it off.

To switch languages or keyboards from the taskbar

  1. Open shortcutcold.gifRegional and Language Options in Control Panel.
  2. On the Languages tab, under Text services and input languages, click Details.
  3. Under Preferences, click Language Bar.
  4. In the Language Bar Settings dialog box, select the Show additional Language bar icons in the Notification area check box.
  5. Click OK three times.
  6. Click the language icon buttonen.gif or the keyboard icon keyboard.gif on the taskbar to display a menu.
  7. Click a language or keyboard.

  • The language icon is available only if you have added multiple languages or multiple keyboard layouts in Regional and Language Options in Control Panel.

To switch languages or keyboards from the Language bar

Space bar and certain letters not working keep pressing keys and other letters keep popping up


First Open your Control Panel and go to regional and language options
And Click on the languages tab as shown
Under text services and input languages click details

My baby has changed the language on my text input and i cant change it back,, how do i do it?

To set the phone language:

1. From the Home screen, find and tap Settings > Language & keyboard > Select locale.
2. Select an option.

Note: The chosen phone language is also the writing language, if not selecting a specific writing language.

To set the writing language:

1. From the Home screen, find and tap Settings > Language & keyboard > Default input > Writing languages.
2. Select an option.

Useful tip:

* To change the keyboard when you're in a field that requires text or numbers, touch and hold the text bar, then tap Input Method and select an option.
* To enter special characters, such as å, just touch and hold the corresponding letter, and select an option.

My acer netbook is set to give french letters instead of question marks etc how do i change this setting

How to change keyboard language in Windows If you need to type in a foreign language on your computer, you can do so by changing the input language (i.e. keyboard language). Just follow the instructions below
Windows Vista Windows XP
Instructions for Windows Vista
  1. Click Start and then Control Panel

  3. Open Clock, Language, and Region
  4. Click on Regional and Language Options.
  5. Click the Keyboards and Languages tab and then click Change keyboards.

  8. The keyboard layout you added will be included in the list. To set the new layout as your default, select it from the list. Click OK to save your changes

Add language support

  5. Under Supplemental language support, select the check box beside the applicable language collection
Click OK or Apply. You will prompted to insert the Windows CD-ROM or point to a network location where the files are located. After the files are installed, you must restart your computer.

I mistakenly deleted the sond driver...... And unfortunaely i don't have the DVD with me . On net from where i can get the driver. Plus my window is installed in Russian language...... is there any way i...


Hi you can change the language from russian to english ..

Just fallow these steps


1. Open Regional and Language Options by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Clock, Language, and Region, and then clicking Regional and Language Options (Its a Globe ICON).

2. Click the Keyboards and Languages tab.

3. Under Display language, choose a language from the list, and then click OK.

If you don't see the language you want on the list of display languages, the other answerers are right: you'll need to install additional language files first.

"Generic / Text Only" driver printer and cyrillic


Unfortunately printing Cyrillic(Russian) is driver dependent and your application can only use generic/text driver.
