Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

These are the most common methods for recovering Sandisk's Sansa Mp3
Players. I have been almost universally successful in recovering Sansa
players using one or a combination of these methods. These methods do
not work if you are having synchronization or music format issues -
they are for recovering a player that will not power up, freezes,
flashes, is not recognized by the computer, and a host of other issues.

Reset the Sansa Player first. On most models, restart is done by holding the power button in for 15 seconds or longer. Check your specific manual to be sure. The manuals are available from the Sansa website if they have been misplaced.

Download the Sansa Recovery Tool from the Sansa website.

Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the
computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull
down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor
over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow
underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary
slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.

Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware
upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in
the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have
the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to
    find out: http://www.sandisk.com/DriverDownload/dr...

    If these fail, then:

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off,
hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer
while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button
for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into
recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says
    Found New Hardware Wizard.

If you get the problem where MTP Device keeps popping up continuously, uninstall the “MTP Device” by going to Start à Control Panel àSystem à Hardware à Device Manager (you computer may vary slightly, depending on Windows Version).

You may have to restart your computer after each of these methods
to get them to work properly. Disconnect your Sansa player BEFORE
    shutting down your computer.

My player got problem

Connect your computer to the sansa, then search for the files using the search key from the start key, search for all files with an * for detecting all the files. Select all and transfer all files to a folder. then delete off all the files and format if the sansa gets detected. if so your memory is back to normal. transfer all your files again back but make sure that the next time you load only the good ones. Hope this helps you off.Good day

HOW CAN I DOWNLOAD MUSIC FROM CDS ON MY SANSA MP3 PLAYER? LISA

To put music on your Sansa e250 you will do this: Download Windows Media Player 9 or 10 to your computer. I would use Media Player 10 as it is the newer player. After you download Media Player 9 or 10 open it up on your computer, and then hook up your mp3 player, it should be recognized by Media Player and then you can transfer the songs to it. You need to put the music cd in your computer cd player and download the songs to Media Playeer using Windows Media Player 9 or 10. I have also included a website where you can download the user manual, it will say e200, but the instructions are also for the e250. Good Luck, I hope this helps. Video converter for e250

You can get the Sansa Media Converter from Sandisk's website.

You must use the Sansa Media Converter to transfer videos. If the video is DRM-protected (many of Real's movies are), it may not actually convert. But if the video is DRM-free, then the Sansa Media Converter will perform the conversion and load the video onto the player. The Sansa Media Converter may or may not recognize certain file formats, so you may need to download an additional program such as Riva FLV Encoder to convert the Real video to AVI format first - then the Sansa Media Converter will recognize the file.

Sansa e250 not working properly

The songs you are trying to use are in the wrong format, or have expired licenses - use mp3 format only and you won't have those problems

Sansa e250 computer problems

Try using Windows Media Player instead, and see if you get the same result. If it loads in Windows Media Player, then the problem is with WinAmp and not your Mp3 player. When you say it loads half-way, do you mean it loads half the songs and then shuts off? Is the Sansa running on low battery? WinAmp has some kind of update released in the past week - did you download the update, and then experience the problem? It's probably not this, because other users have had the same problem that you are reporting since at least Christmas 2007.

The following is an advice from another Sansa user, so I haven't been able to verify it myself:
"I have to have WinAmp open and a song playing then connect my player and then it will work fine. If I just connect my player then start WinAmp it crashes"

If all of the above fails, reformat your player and start over from scratch. Let me know how everything works out - this is an issue that not even the Sansa website seems to have an answer for.

i think i had a similar problem with my e250, if you get your music from anything like "limewire" your sansa may have been infected with a virus :(

sadly, if this is the case, there is no solution

MP3 songs are not getting download in sansa e250

you are using the sansa media converter which would only allow the user to transfer pictures and videos to the player. You would be using windows media player 10 or 11 to transfer songs to the player.
