This printer has both a USB and parallel printer connection. I suggest you connect this printer to your computer using the USB printer cable and install the printer driver software on your computer.
You can download the Lexmark printer drivers from theirsupport WEB site. Please click on this link and select your model printer todownload :-

hold the go and return buttons while powering up the unit it will come up to registration hit select this is where you adjust the laser lock of the scanner
do you get 5 beeps when the printer powers up? three things can cause this the control panel, the logic board and the engine board if you have replaced the logic board the engine board is the problem change that and your problem should go away
24x errors are paper jam error 241 tray 1 242 tray 2 ect. this means that the paper does not make it to the timming sensor inside the printer. this si usually caused by dirty pick wheels on the autocompensator located inside the drawer on the bottom of the printer
where the paper spits out , there is a little arm that is stuck in the up position. maybe the spring came off. You will have to take the top cover off to see this.
open paper tray and look at the paper stopper ( the one on the end that you can adjust for the paper lenght)
is it set for letter?
now take a look on the SIDE of the tray there are three prongs, when you adjust the paper lenght, are they moving as you adjust the paper? for letter size the bottom two should be out and the top one should be in.
