Graphics card didnt work so bought a new 1 and that doesnt work either, but the onboard 1 works, please help

Hello,

Reboot the computer and enter the BIOS.

Somewhere in the several pages of BIOS pages there is a place to turn off the onboard graphics.

This should enable the PCI graphics card.

Hi drago,

You can find your drivers here:

http://www.evga.com/support/drivers/
Download the drivers you need, and install them manually in the Device Manager.

In Windows 7, goto the Device Manager (click on Start, right click on My Computer, left click on Properties, click on Device Manager) Look for your video cards, click on the + to see which ones are installed.

Once you have the new drivers installed, you may have to uninstall the integrated graphics drivers to force Window to use the new card.

Hope that helps

I can't install a GeForce 6200 graphics card

Also, if that card has dual outputs, such as 2 DVI connectors, try connecting your monitor to the other one.

No signal

Do you have both the 24 pin plug & the 4 or 8 pin plug, depending on board, plugged into the proper places? The 4 pin plug is what powers the pci-e x16 slot. On some newer boards it will be an 8 pin plug rather than a 4. It should be clearly marked on the mb in small print. Hope this helps.

I just got a computer and it worked when we were packing it up. Before we put the computer up my friend wanted to see if he could put a newer video card into it. Well it didn't fit so he put the old one...

he didnt push the card all the way down simple open it back up pull card out and "you" push the card back into slot
the bar on should be flush with case

i hope your friend didnt put it on something that had electrical charge that staticed the card to death
but more than likely he didnt push the card down all the way make sure monitor cable is tight and flush with card in back of comp
if you still dont get picture try another monitor you could have damaged something in monitor in your move

XFX Geforce 6200 256 DDR RAM

i have found that some boards don't like Nvidia graphics cards and play up when it comes to a particular graphical attempt. You can try the game and card on lower settings, but that defeats the purpose of the card, and make sure you have the latest directx (9C i think) installed You can try as i did some older graphic card drivers for your model as Nvidia now seem to make generic force drivers for all models. I had luck with different drivers for a while, but ended up buying an ATI graphics card and as of yet after a year had no graphic problems.
