Sir,

This is protected with administrator password. It cannot unlock. Only unlock that administrator person only. or Else Reinstall the Keyboard driver software.

Thanks
Good Luck

Keyboard is locked

You don't mention which operating system - that can make a difference.
I think this is for XP:

How it might have gotten locked:
Pressing Windows key + L or
Holding down SHIFT key > 8 seconds
Press CTRL-ALT-DEL then lock computer or switch user.

To unlock: press CTRL-ALT-DEL & choose unlock. May ask for a password; if you haven't set one try just pressing ENTER.
AND/OR:
Go to start and then settings, then control panel and then finallyaccessibility options. Make sure all the 3 boxes are unchecked.

How do you lock/ unlock a keyboard

Press the "Windows logo key + U." This will open the ease of access center. Click on the "keyboard." It will say, "make the keyboard easier to use" next to it.

Select "turn on sticky keys" and "turn on filter keys." Select "save." Your computer will now only make sounds when the keyboard is hit.

Follow steps 1 and 2 to unlock your keyboard. Unselect the "sticky keys" and "filter keys" and click on "save

Lock your workstation. Press "Ctrl + Alt + Del." A blue screen or a box will pop up that has a variety of options, such as restart or shut down the computer. Click on "lock this computer

Lock your work station using the keyboard. Press the "windows key", it looks like a flag, and the "L" key at the same time. This will lock the computer. To unlock press the combination again.

How do i unlock my computer

If it's locked under windows XP or Vista, enter the currently logged in user password or an administrator password to unlock. In XP it might be possible to need to press [ctrl]+[alt]+[del] at the same time to enter the password.

Ctrl + Alt+Del

Hi

is it a usb keyboard or a ps2(round connector) keyboard? the problem is most likely that due to the computer not having started up properly the keyboard is not properly configured / installed by windows.

to get rid of this problem, you need the old type of keyboard, turn off the computer, and plug in a keyboard to the ps2 connector.

green one is for the mouse, the other is for the keyboard, plug in a keyboard, then turn the computer on, you should be able to press CTRL+ALT +DEL now and ones you sign in to the computer it should install the usb keyboard and it should work from now on, just make sure the keyboard is not disconnected or port changed when the power is off from the computer that cause the configuration loss.

Keyboard not working

On another thread i found the solution:

[Ctrl]-[Alt]-[F12] (must use the left [Ctrl]-[Alt] keys, not the right)
Push the Connect button beneath the keyboard, then the Connect button on the USB Receiver, then the [Esc] key on the keyboard.

This will unlock the security encryption on the keyboard. You may need to reconnect the mouse afterward too.
