Lenova tab s8 wont charge help

Hi, it maybe possibly your battery to drained flattened to the point where it cannot accept a charge from the wall charger. the best thing to do is to try and trickle charge your tablet from a low voltage/amperage connection. Either a powered on PC USB port to the charging connector on your tablet, or from a low power phone charger (5v/500ma). It has been pretty well documented that lithium batteries do not like to be drained fully & it may be that the battery in your tablet has drained so low that it cannot accept a charge from the Lenovo a/c charger.

Try a trickle charge for 8-10 hours (or longer) on your tablet & see if that gets enough charge into your battery to enable it to recognise & accept a charge from the a/c charger.

Else it replacement of charger or some hardware failure in your tablet

My isb283 won't charge, help

Hi there
I can only think of 2 possibilities here:
Firstly a wire in the cable, or in the speaker box has come loose somehow so that there is no circuit created to charge the batteries, or
Secondly, the batteries have been charged and discharged so often that they will no longer accept a charge and need replacing.
Hope this is helpful, if so would you please register that with Fixya
Cheers

I have a karbonnk415 which switches off itself frequently. please help me

Be sure it has a new battery, they only last 1-2 years, even if plugged in and fully charge if it doesn't have a good battery left then it will do this. Next see if you can connect to a PC somehow via USB etc, the flash with a new firmware. Most phones use SBF on a motorola, other company sites you can get the file and then reflash sometimes with more features

Hello,

It looks like the battery in the phone is not accepting the charge. This can be happening if the battery has gone bad. Please contact Nokia people for further assistance.

Please feel free to contact us for further information.

I turn it on, logo comes on, and it turns off. I've tried holding the on button 8 sec, no luck.

With the limited information provided, a simple first step is to make sure the internal battery is either fully charged or is in a condition to accept a charge. When the internal battery's charge is allowed to below a certain level, it will no longer be capable of accepting a charge via the car charger.

The battery can be conditioned to accept a charge easily, however. This is done by connecting the GPS to the computer via USB port, NOT the car charger. Some Garmin GPS units come with a 120 volt charger that connects to the USB port of the GPS - this method is also an acceptable charge / condition method. Leave the GPS connected for 8 hours or longer (over night) and try to power up again.

I hope this helps!

I left my power cord at work

A USB port supplies 5v at 1amp

If you only draw 500ma off there is a chance that the voltage will go up to 6v

Not a killer if it wants 5v but you will cook the phone if it only needs 3.7v

Some phones will only accept 3.7v (Some Nokia units)

Look at the phone battery and it will tell you what it needs

P1i display problem...

Solution Description:

  1. Back up your data using the Sony Ericsson PC suite, then perform Update Service as described below
  2. Log on to: http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/softwaredownloads/p1i?cc=hk&lc=en
  3. Download and install Update Service on your computer to keep the software in your phone up-to-date and ensure optimum performance from your phone.
  4. When the download is complete, an Update Service shortcut will be created on your desktop.
  5. While still connected to the Internet, click the ‘Update Service’ shortcut icon on your desktop
  6. Sony Ericsson window will pop up and downloading will begin. Allow the downloading to run complete to 100%
  7. Another Sony Ericsson window showing different countries’ languages will pop up, select your preferred language.
  8. Sony Ericsson ‘Welcome to Update Service’ window will pop up, showing ‘Exit’ on the left-hand side and ‘Start’ on the right-hand side.
  9. Click the ‘Start’ icon and select ‘Agree’ on the ‘Term of Use’ page that pops up
  10. Select your phone type and click on ‘Continue’
  11. Highlight your specific phone type and select ‘Continue’
  12. Follow the instructions as shown below:
- Make sure your phone is fully charged
- Connect the USB cable to a USB port on your computer
- Turn off your phone
- Remove and reinsert the battery
- Press and hold the ‘C’ button down while plugging the USB cable to the computer
- Continue to hold the ‘C’ button down until the instruction number ‘7’ on the Update Service comes up (i.e. Instructing you to ‘Release the ‘C’ button)
  1. Allow the update to run to the end
  2. When the system informs you that the latest update has already been installed on your system, click on ‘Continue Anyway’
  3. Click ‘Yes’ to all subsequent questions
  4. Allow the update to fully run to the end
  5. When update is complete, disconnect the USB from the computer and phone
  6. Remove and reinsert the phone battery
  7. Power on your Sony Ericsson P1i phone
  8. Congratulation!!!

NB: since the phone is not powering on, you may not be able to know whether the battery is fully charged. Hence, you will need to use a Sony Ericsson Deskstand. Connect the Battery Charger to its slot on the Deskstand and the USB cable to its slot simultaneously. This enables the battery to charge while the update is also running.
