how do i transfer my ipod music to my mac ?

font.f1 {font: 12.0px Helvetica} Thanks for asking your question with Fixya Support. I will be glad to assist you.

To transfer music from your iPod Nano, you need to first have iTunes installed on your Mac.

Then you need to have music in your iTunes library, whether you are importing the music from your favorite CDs into iTunes, or if you are purchasing music directly from the Apple iTunes Music store, it has to be in the iTunes library.

Once you have your desired music in your iTunes library, follow this link below, which will guide you into transferring music into your iPod.

Hello, I have a desktop PC an a laptop at home, I have itunes on my desktop and just installed it on my laptop yesterday. I want to get all my music onto my laptop itunes. Is there a way to import my music to the laptop?

If you have an iPod, then use iTunes on your desktop to load up your iPod with your iTunes music.

Then, use a program like TouchCopy to copy your iPod content onto your laptop or straight to iTunes. TouchCopy lets you copy all your music, video, photos, contacts, notes, calendars, games and more from your iPod.

To copy your iPod music using TouchCopy, you will need to...
1. Download and install TouchCopy on your laptop. TouchCopy works with all iPod types and the iPhone. There are free PC and Mac downloads available from here
http://www.wideanglesoftware.com/touchcopy

2. Ensure that iTunes is closed before connecting your iPod. Then start TouchCopy and connect your iPod. TouchCopy will have fixed your iTunes preferences so that iTunes will not sync music or video with your iPod while TouchCopy is running. These changes are restored when you quit TouchCopy.

3. Use TouchCopy to copy all your iPod content to your laptop hard drive or straight into iTunes.

4. You can then use iTunes to re-sync your iPod, which will re-load your iPod with all your music and let you add new content to it too.
