If you need a mail program. A very easy to use email program is Windows Live. Go to:http://download.live.com/, click on "download and follow the instructions. Once you install the program and start it the first time, it will ask you for your email address and password. The rest is easy.
If you need instructions for a specific program, ie. Outlook or Outlook Express, resubmit the question and mention the specific program.

try installing spybot it will remove spywares and rootkits that results in slow of system and also installing anti virus that detects trojans .

Please try re installing your operating system. (Genuine windows xp or vista recommended)

Delete all temp & internet temp files and just check if any AV is scanning in the background. AVG / Kapersky / Mcafee do these background scans silently sometimes. Maybe that is slowing down the pc. Disconnect from lan and internet and try wkg on the pc

pc's performance and stability depends on your memory, programs that you run, video card and processor,, you might want to check also your free space, try defraging it and disk clean up its a big help

There could be a variety of reason(s) why the laptop is slow. If initially the unit was fast enough for your applications, it maybe that there are a number of programs running simultaneously and/or harmful to your PC. Pls try:

• run/scan with your antivirus and/or an online virus scanner/remover;
• Download AdAware by Lavasoft, install, scan and delete unwanted entries;
• Go to Start, Run, type "msconfig", goto Startup tab and uncheck all programs except those that you feel are necessary such as your antivirus;
• In your System Properties Advanced tab, Performance Settings button, select "Adjust for best performance", and in the Advanced tab, change your Virtual Memory to double your onboard real memory.

Clcik disable all at the bottom
