Gateway E3600 Beep Codes
I have a Gateway Tower E 3600. It has 3 RAM slots. Two slots had 128 of RAM so I wanted to upgrade the RAM. I switched off the computer from the power button (did not unplug the power supply from the wall socket) and took out one of the RAM card to see its type. When I put it back and pressed the power button, it gave me 3 long beeps. There is no display on the monitor either but the processor is running as it gets hot.
Advise me pls.

- i have a t2240 emachine and i did the same thing, took some ram out to replace it, then realised i had gotten the wrong replacement ram type, so replaced the old onesand now i get 3 long beeps whenever i turn it on
