Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

Here's a link to this great service

Good luck!

SOURCE: model vtech ip 8100-1

I 2 have had the exact same problem twice .
Fortunately I have a lot of wallwarts around, and sure enough,
a 6v one does the job.

Why they don't let people buy replacement units and have them ship back the broken ones for reimbursement is beyond me.

SOURCE: Low battery

You need to buy new batteries for your phones. Large retailers charge $10-12 per battery but you can usually find them for closer to $4 online at amazon.com or eBay.

There should be a menu item for language selection. Without a specific model number I can't tell you the specific steps but it should be in the manual. Can't find the manual (who can?)? Go here to download the manual for your specific model: http://www.vtechphones.com/vtechui/support/manual_list.cfm

Hi...i have an New Revlon Hair dryer which was bought from US to INDIA n it is not working due to the difference in Voltage to that of US i guess....So could you please suggest me is can i get i repaired...

The voltage of the dryer you are having is 120 volt as compaired to the voltage in India 220~230 volt AC at 50 hz
You can use a simple thyristor voltage controller which will work out cheaper.
If not a step down transformer is needed to bring the voltage from 230~120 V.
As a transformer is expensive then it is possible to get the conversion done with a voltage reducer- solid state.

My uniden phone bought in USA does not display called ID thouhgh BSNL has enabled it. My cheap chinese phone was displaying it. Any help?

Caller ID standards are different in India and the USA, so Caller ID function will not work. You need to purchase a converter which converts from DTMF to Bell FSK standard.

I too have the same problem

Well like you said, USA and India.

Did you check the power voltage from usa compaired to India? You might have just blown your system if you didn't pay attention to that.

It's not recommended to take outside of usa, but if you do, you should have bought a power converter/adapter.

Can i use an Xbox 360 bought in USA in India - given the voltage conversion required? would there be any seperate adaptor available for 220 volt usage in India

You can purchase a volt adapter (rather common in travel stores/airports) but over time the device's power-supply will wear out because of the frequency difference.

North America runs at 60hz
India runs at 50hz

Caller ID not working in India

I too purchased an Uniden phone for India. Everything except the caller ID works fine. The caller ID wont work as the technology used in India is different. Try purchasing a FSK to DTMF converter or a separate caller ID box.

No caller ID information for GE Caller ID phone ( Model # 29385GE1)

I must have gotten your unit. Mine did work ONCE after it had been installed for about a week. But it never worked again and we pitched it. Buy something else.
