I am following the instruction manual to the letter, but all thats happening is the needle thread is winding around the bobbin mechanism when I try to lower the thread to pick up the bobbin thread....I am desperate for a solution as I have to get some work done for a friend...thanks

Don't go directly from the thread spool to the bobbin.
You have to go via the thread quide, (near the end of the head at left side) and under the small roller.

Pass your thread to the bobbin turn your thread 3 turns to the right, clockwise,
then pass the end of the thread, under the coming thread and give it another 3 turns to the right.
For better results, always remove old thread from bobbin before filling it up.
Push the thread winder lever to lock the bobbin.
Start winding slowly. If the thread is loading in the down position,
put your finger under the thread between the bobbin and the the thread quide, untill you see that the thread is feeding evenly.

How do I change the bobbin winder on the Brother ls2125 sewing machine please

In the meantime, you can pick up a stand-alone bobbin threader at the local fabric store or online. They cost ~$25. A lot of sewists prefer using the stand-alone because it saves wear & tear on their sewing machine and they can also wind bobbins without interfering with the machine's setup.

It does not stitch

Install a new needle.

Check your manual, most newer machines require the flat side of the needle shaft face the back of the machine.

After around 20 hours of sewing, clean the bobbin case and shuttle - refer to the maintenance section of the manual.

Oil machine

It should be just these three places!
Make sure your machine is lint-free before you oil, and don't use more than just a drop on each place!

Disassemble your bobbin case....

You have to unscrew the top....

Unable to wind bobbin on Brother Css-8150 stopped suddenly

Checking to see if in fact that the bobbin shaft is turning. Run it without any bobbin on the bobbin shaft. Make sure that it is push over in the correct position and run it. I checked on mine and it does make the whirring sound and the the shaft does spin. Also check underneath the shaft to see if there is any thread wrapped around it. ( I had problems with that in the past). I hope this helps,
