Hi,

Please follow the below steps and check if that resolves the issue:

  1. Press down on and hold the "Power" button on your Philips GoGear MP3 player.
  2. Press down on and hold the "Volume Up" button on your Philips GoGear MP3 player. Continue to hold both of these buttons down for three consecutive seconds. The MP3 player will turn itself off.
  3. Press and hold "Power" until your Philips GoGear MP3 player turns itself back on. Your GoGear will no longer be frozen and you can use it as normal.
If you require further assistance then please revert back.

Same here

First, try a soft reset. Do this by pressing the center button and the up volume button simultaneously and try turning it on. If that does not work for you, you will need to get a micro sd card (it can be a dummy) and insert it into the slot on the side of the mp3 player. If you do not have one, you can use one of the round edges of a paper clip (be careful) to get it to come on. When you put either in, it should come on automatically, but if not, just press the power button. This should work.

When i am turning on sansa e260, the screen always shows sandisk

try to open up the the mp3 player by taking off the screwes....(make sure that you are using a NON magnitized screwdriver) and remove the back and take out the batter and try to press the power button....then put the batter back in but dont put the back cover back on....now try to turn it on if nothing happens take the battery out press the power button then take out the next set of screws(they should be silver colored) then take all faceplate off then clean the inside of the buttons with que tips and rubbing alchol...(do not use the menthol rubbing alchol{may leave crystals behind that can hurn the mp3 playin in the long run}) then out the face plate back on and put the battery back in and press the power button...should turn on if not u have a bad connection somewhere with some of ur bottons.....

Dell DJ Ditty

For this player, mtp device = good, wmp 10 =good, and xp =good - so your system definitely meets the requirements.

Dell did not list any other repair methods other than reset. You could try this, but it is a long shot: Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

I'm thinking that this one just has a circuit/power supply malfunction and will need to be replaced. The starting price for an Mp3 repair service is usually $280, and most will refuse b/c the mp3 manufacturers will not supply parts (Dell officially washed their hands of this product in 2006).

What is wrong?

It doesn;t matter if it turns on or not - it only matters if the computer recognizes that something has been plugged in, try one more time:

My player won't turn on!!!

The m25 will not power on if LOCK/UNLOCK is in the locked position. If you press the POWER button, a padlock will appear on the LCD to remind you that the unit is locked. Confirm that the LOCK/UNLOCK switch is not in the locked position and press POWER to turn it on. If nothing happens after pressing the POWER button, the battery is probably discharged.
