My Maytag stackable MLE2000AYW washer stops during the wash cyle. If you push the start button again it will continue but then it stops again. Sometimes you have to push the start button 3 or 4 time to finish washing a load of clothes. I think I need to replace the Dial Timer but want to be sure. Thanks Darrel

I noticed that it always stops in the same place, at the begining of the rinse cycle and the the begining of the spin cycle.

Hi,

The timer motor is too weak to push it past those spots that are the hardest places for it to turn...

That is why it always stops at the beginning of the next phase of the wash cycle...

Replace the timer and you will be working fine again..

Youmay be right as the timerr can cut off due to poor contacts or faulty timer action. The best you can use a good switch cleaner to wash off dirt( with the main power OFF) , use a brush to clean , a good air jet to blown out dirt and wash the contacts with the cleaner as youa re switching ON/OFF the switches.
Once the contacts seems clean allow time to dry off and recconnect washer to mains. If there is a marked change repeat the work if not the prime suspect can be the timer unit.( make sure your door lid swiches are good, clean them also)

Mle2000ayw Stackable washer/dryer not washing, spinning

If the door lock light is on then is might be the "door lock enable spin switch" the plunger at the opposite end from the wax motor is not fully depressing the switch. In the stackable it is just behing the door lock. Remove the two middle covers (2 white phillips screws and one hex head screw on the middle of lower cover by the wires)to test place a few layers of masking tape on the end of the plunger and cycle the machine. Might also be a weak Wax motor (dark brown in color) to be safe replace both for about $12 each. Fix in 10 - 15 min.

Maytag bravos washer stops cycle "f" code flashes

This isnt really a solution because Im having the same problem. The repair man that came said that is buildup of soap in the water line. I use my own powder soap, not h/e, and its not desolving and getting built up in the lines. Im not sure what to do to get it to stop doing this. He suggested cutting back on the amount of soap and running hot water through the lines which I have done for the last couple of days but I still have this problem.
