Question about Fuji Finepix S9600 Digital Camera

Battery Door Lock Clips Broken

Camera still works fine, but battery door will not close properly, 2 of the clips have broken off. Is the plastic part around the batteries where the clips are, replaceable ? or is it moulded to the body ?

Thanks for any help.

Resetting security system

Check door and hood latches to make sure they are actually closing properly. It could be a faulty security module, but more likely it is a broken plastic piece that clips onto the back of a door lock.

Also, if you want to test each security sensor before ripping everything apart, you can put the key in each lock and turn it to about 2:00. The light should go out completely but then begin flashing again when you remove the key. If you can get the light to go out while doing this on each door and hatch lock, then you probably have a bad hood sensor.
Otherwise, the lock that does not turn the light off is the one with the bad sensor. Also found that the alarm will not work if the security light is flashing.

Use electrical tape for holding the door or you need to visit service center for replacing the complete door.

Rear door handle broken. Mazda mpv 2001. lock works fine.

The relay rod inside the door has broken (not likely), one of the retaining clips that hold it in place are broken (most likely) or the tab on the door handle assembly is broken (again not likely). to gain access you will have to remove the door panel. You did not say whether the handle you are having a problem with is the interior or exterior but to remove the door panel you will need to have the door open, you might want to purchase a Haynes or Chilton manual for your car to get the proper instruction if you have never removed one before.

Camera Kodak DC3200 Battery door has clips broken. Where can I get it repaired in Australia and what is the cost of this repair, please?

Please check the link below and find the shop close to your place.
Also if the door has broken on the plastic side , you can use instant glue to bond after cleaning the surface and keeping the joints under pressure. Also you can wedge some steel ribs into the plastic to reinforce and glue on top, use soldering iron to heat the steel leads.

I dropped my Nikon Coolpix L1 camera and cracked the battery door. Now whenever I take a picture, I have to hold the battery door manually so it will stay shut and recognize the power of the battery. I'm...

So other than the broken battery door (very common) it works just fine?

Well you could go and spend a fortune on another camera. Or you might decide that a few cents worth of sticky tape to hold the door closed is far better value.

I've fixed the same fault on similar Nikon models before by fashioning replacements for the broken plastic tab/loops using shaped short lengths of paper clip wire glued into carefully filed channels using epoxy resin (the designs vary, but Nikon keep making them of plastics with all the structural integrity of cheese!). Doing it that way makes a far neater and original-looking job of it and restores normal functionality.

Sliding door handle will open from inside but not the outside

the outside door handle connects to the lock by a metal bar and 2 plastic clips. One of your clips have broken. You can get the clips at any auto parts store. very easy to replace. just remove the door panel, and you will see the clips at the lock and handle. every thing just slips on and snaps in. hope this helps

Nikon Cool Pix 7900 Battery door won't stay closes

There are plastic clips on the battery door and body of the camera that lock the door in place. If they are broken of the battery door the door can be changed. If the clips on the body are broken the camera as a rule is history. Replacing a camera body is not a feasible repair.
