Question about Computers & Internet
My Orbicam originally worked, and I snapped a couple pictures with it. However now when I open the Orbicam program, it says "Camera is in use by another application" in red. Then right underneath that: "stop the application that is using the camera and press reconnect"...a toggle "reconnect" button is right next to that.
However, I never messed w/ any of the settings, and don't even know how to use the Orbicam with another program?
how can I find out which program is using my cam and stop it, so I can take pictures and videos once again?
Thanks so much,
The problem is that another program has gained exclusive access to the camera, it won't be an MS program though, it will be a thrid party program to narrow it down.
To locate it, open up task manager and look at the processes running and end any program like: Printer software, scanner software, any other imaging software...etc
You could also try uninstalling the camera in device manager, leave it connected and reboot the system, windows will automatically detect it again, it may ask for the driver disc again. Then start up the program you want.
Hope this helps....!

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
