Question about Sony PCV-RS420 (027242635845) PC Desktop
Since it would be an older machine by now, no; don't bother. Unless you really loved the out-of-box experience with that machine, you can get much more value from using TimeMachine or a USB backup image drive, or similar such backup/restore software. If you'd rather, keep a text log on a flash drive or such (which can easily hold a LiveCD like Knoppix) about all the basic things you want to be working on the machine, e.g. utilities for spare buttons, logitech mouse drivers, the screen's native resolution; those things. They can save you much more time than having discs of system stuff not updated since 2005!
