Question about LG Rumor 2 Cell Phone

1 Answer

My rumor 2 from virgin mobile froze when I went to the notepad, so I popped out the battery and replaced it. Now all it does is flash the hello screen. I've even tried turning it on without the battery having the phone only plugged into a wall charger but it won't work either.

Ive tried that, left the battery out a whole day. It's been doing this for about 5 days now.

Lg rumor 2 keeps flashing hello screen

Most of the time , a master reset will solve most problems. Here is how you do it with an R2.

Go to Virgin Mobile USA. Click on help. Click on phone manuals and guides . Click on the R2 model. Click on user's manual. Go to page 70. Go to how to reset all settings. Follow the instructions. It should return your phone to original factory settings.

If this does not work, call VM or take it back to where you bought it from. Hopefully you have the receipt and maybe you can get an even exchange or refund.

Warranties on cell phones do not cover water damage.
Hope this will help :)

Phone has been freezing up and now it just says hello on the screen.

This has been happening to the LG Rumor 2 a lot. Even if you took the battery and Micro SD card out then put the battery back in without the Micro SD card and turned it back on, it may still flash Hello. Even rebooting after a few moments with the SD card back in still doesn't help. It's a software problem. You need to take it to wherever you bought it and see if they could reflash the Bios. Don't try talking to customer service at Virgin Mobile, it's a complete waste of time as they will adamantly blame you for it and proceed to give you the runaround. Saying things like they never had this problem before or repeatedly asking if you got it wet and whatnot. Your better off getting another phone, honestly.

My lg rumour is flashing virgin mobile over and over....it froze on me and i have done the whole take out the battery...wait....put it back in.....turn it on and its still flashing.......so any other...

Seems like a lot of people have reported the same problem. Not sure how it helps, but people have reported it getting fixed by restarting the mobile without the SD card in. If it works, put in the SD card later. Please try this. Regardless, do contact Virgin Mobile about the problem.

Hope this helps.

I have an lg rumor 2 and when I was on my phone it froze so i took the battery out and now when i turn it back on the virgin mobile icon/logo flashes every 4 secondes or so. It may be water damage and im...

Hello,

If you suspect it is water damage, what you have to do is get the appropriate screwdriver, unscrew the phone, carefully detach the case of the phone.

Dry it under the sun or under a 60watt bulb. once it is properly dried, couple it back togther and try to turn it on.

The fault also might be from the flex of the phone. the flex is the mechanism that is between the keypad and the screen. It assist the phone in sliding.

Once it is adjusted or replaced, the phone will be in good condition again.

take care

power cycling is a common problem for the rumor. you need to reload the software - do an upate. You'll usually have to go to your provider for that
