Tv goes blank after a few minutes. Turn tv off and back on and it will come back on for a few minutes and go blank again

You are having trouble with a thermal protection switch in the TV. The power supply will have to be replaced. It is also possible that your lamp (tubes behind the LCD panel) are going bad and drawing too much current and causing the power supply to protect itself.

RCA L32HD31 32in TV - out after 18 months

Unplug your set for about 2 minutes... and try to "reboot it' This seems to be VERY common on these RCA LCD sets. I do NOT know what "locks up", but if the set is dead and you get a "putt" noise from the speakers every few seconds...this IS the problem. Try it--I have "fixed" a LOT of these sets this way.

RCA L32WD12 32in. HGTV LCD Television

I had the same problem happen this afternoon, so I took it apart, and the source of the problem is the key controller panel (behind the buttons). It's held in place by 2 screws, if you take the case apart, which is literally only 15 or 20 screws, and then loosen the 2 screws holding the key controller panel on, and then use a small screwdriver to space it out from the button caps. Tighten the screws, and put it back together. Just be careful not to let it go too far to the other side, or you'll have a problem with the menu going on and off at random, which is just as annoying.
