Polaroid t831 Digital Camera

Hello,

I have lost over 50 pictures on my camera. I was taking pictures of a bridge and all the pictures before the bridge and after the bridge are there. I did not delete any of these pictures and alot of people I talk with recommended that I look at my memory card. The problem is I don't know how to do that. I can hook my camera to my PC with no problems... but there is nothing about my memory card.

Any suggestions? The only thing I did was try to reset the date and time (because the camera doesn't hold that information long). The lost pictures were taken on 2 different days.

It is a 1GB memory card. I was thinking about taking it to a drug store to have it read the card versus the camera.

I have backed up all my pictures to ensure that I wasn't going to lose anything else.

It just seems like my camera did not want to take any pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge! I lost about 40 consecutive pics of it one day and then I lost another 20-30 or so consecutive pics on if the following day. I would have remembered deleting all of those at one time. And like I said in my previous post, the images taken right before and after the bridge pictures are there.

Would having reset the date and time have affected it?

    THanks for your help!

Can you take your memory card to a drug store, Costco, Walmart, or Sams Club and look at in there photo computer.

If the pictures aren't on the card, you should copy the pictures to a hard drive or cd and reformat the memory card.

What size is the memory card?

I don't think the date would have anything to do it. If anything there could be a bad spot on the memory card or the battery was acting up. If you reformat the card in the camera, it should work.

My polaroid t831 is completly dead. i lost my battery charger and i only have the computer USB charger left. but it doesn't work at all. I have tried to look online for polaroid chargers but i had no luck...

I found chargers and batteries for this camera by searching Amazon for "polaroid t831". There are also cheap universal chargers that will charge any small camera or phone battery, like THIS ONE

Most cameras don't charge from the USB cable.

Plug in polaroid t831 to pc and pc doesn't recognise that it is there

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa.

I need the settings for my camera to get perfect

The settings depend on what you want the picture to say to the viewer. The best settings for a landscape picture won't be the best settings for a portrait, for example.
Your local library should have some books on introductory photography. They will explain what the different settings do, and when you might want certain settings for certain types of photographs.

Downloading pictures from Polaroid t831 camera

Try this option, if it does not work, let me know and I will suggest something else!

Plug the camera in along with the usb into the computer and if nothing pops up, go to start, run and browse for your camera. It should show up there.
