Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console

1 Answer

360 not coming on

So, I cna turn the console on, but the splash screen never comes on, the controller never connects even when I try and sync. I tried ejecting the disk and putting in a new game, and the try comes out, goes back in, but the disk never spins up. I have tried different controllers, new batteries and reconnecting the HDMI/power cables on both the TV and the console.

Got any thoughts?

My xbox 360 wireless controller will not connect to my xbox 360 console even when i press the button that scans for the pad but it still turns on the xbox 360 when you press the middle button on the pad

Turn off both the console and the controller, then follow these steps:
  1. Turn on both the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller and the Xbox 360 console.
  2. On the console, press the connect button. (to the immediate right of the memory card slot on the console)
  3. On the controller, press the connect button. (Look on top of the controller for a small button.)
  4. The green lights that surround the Guide button on the controller and the power button on the console spin and flash when the controller is being connected to the console. After the controller is connected, a single green light illuminates on the controller and on the console to show you which quadrant the controller is connected to.

try this not sure

Turn your xbox 360 on. Hold the sync button on the xbox 360 until the spinning wheels go away. Unplug your power. Unplug hard drive for 1 minute. Put hard drive in, then power, and it should work.

Xbox 360 wireless controller not connecting.

it sounds like your controller keeps losing sync with the 360.

- turn them both off
- turn on the 360 with the power button on the console
- wait for it to start up, then press the sync button next to the usb flap on front.
- then press the sync button on the controller (by the recharge connection slot)

That should reset it.

Wireless controller

I dont know if you have been able to figure out what the proble was with your 360, but the exact SAME thing happened to me. The 360 seems to be working fine, game loads, and both the consoles and the controllers rings lit up green, but then the controllers ring just keeps flashing and the console won't recognize it. I 've tried other controllers and nothing worked and obviously I tried to synch it with the console time and time again. PLEASE HELP!!!

360 wireless controller

Hey tavis,

Try this, make sure if you have any cord controllers, that they are unplugged.

Turn off the console.

Make sure the controller is off too.

Turn on the console, and then press the wireless sync button on the console itself.

Then, press the sync button the controller. This should def work for you.

If it still does not work, it sounds like something could be wrong with the system, since you say it works on a friends.

Is this the first time using a wireless controller on your 360?

Try using your friends wireless controller since it works for his, just to see what it does on yours.
