Pull the washer out a little awy from the wall, tilt it back so the top rests on the wall, feel around behind the motor,it sounds like the tranny is going and you might find oil around near the back of the motor where the coupling is,also check the coupling,it's behind the motor,it hits the tranny to and when the motor spins it spins the tranny,i've seen the middle of the coupling wear out just catching and if you help it out it will spin but it sounds like the transmission is bad,it's not hard to change it out.send the model number,i can look up your machine, tell you how much a new tranny is and tell you how to change it out,or replace the washer if it's old and put the money into a new washer

The water is not spinning out. the water is pouring out onto the floor when the spin cycle starts. not leaking when in wash cycle

You may have a pump that's bad. When it goes into spin cycle it assumes the water will be drained within a period of time before it goes into high speed spin. If it goes into high speed spin and the pump hasn't done it's job then you will get a bad mess, flood, water all over.

Washers fine but doesnt drain water and go to rinse cycle

Check the drain hose may be kinked. Washers have been known to eat socks, they go in to the the tub during the spin cycle and down in the pump. If you are so inclined to look dome pumps are clear and you can see the sock. There is a hose clamp to remove and you may be able to remove the sock. Reassemble and test. Remember as always to unplug the washer first before doing any work. This exploded view has a washer and if you hover over the bottom right it will show what the pump looks like.

Washer will not discharge water after wash or rinse cycle

Pump failure. Unit probably has something stuck in pump....the washer eats the socks not the dryer. suggest shope vac to get water out, and then remove hose from pump and check to see if its clear.

Kenmore washer series 80, Clothes still soapy

If you are getting no water spray during the rinse cycle that would cause the soapy clothes issue.

Are you getting cold water during the wash/rinse cycles? If you have the machine set to warm/warm you may only be getting hot water while the final spin is calling for cold.

If you have cold water available then the timer is not calling for the water spray. The problem is either in the mixing valve or the timer.

Kenmore stack washer and dryer

gabehart....sounds like belt is slipping. Replace it. The water pump is on a separate smaller motor so is not affected by the agitator/spin motor.
