Question about Kenmore Washing Machines
The older kenmore washers don't have belts in them,it's the motor coupling that's broke, remove the two screws that hold down the top console,if you have the plastic corner pieces, pop then off and the screws are under them, flip the console up,then with a screw driver pop the two metal clips and in between them unplug the lid switch harness, open the lid, grab the frame and tilt it back and pull back and remove the frame, down the bottom, remove the two clips and slide off the pump, then remove the two screws and clips and slide off the motor and on the back is where the coupling is,remove the broken coupling from the motor shaft and off the tranny shaft and tap on the new one, slide the rubber onto the tranny piece and then slide the motor back on ,put it back together and your good to go,next time send the model number
