Re: blackish gray mark in screen
Is it on the out side? It may be a scratch on the display. If that be the case then you are going to have to live with it or replace the LCD. Replacing the LCD is a real big cost if not costprohibitave.

Most TV companies recommend only a dry cotton cloth for cleaning the LCD screens. My personal experience is that using a mildly moist clean cotton cloth is the best thing for this purpose. For tough oily marks MILD soap solution can also be used in place of water. Please be careful to apply only very mild pressure while cleaning. Never ever spray the screen with any kind of liquid. Because the liquid if seeped through the plastic frame can damage the electronics inside. Happy viewing.
Sounds like your controller board is bad or a power supply issue. Try to change input. If it does the same thing it is the controller board. You can get a replacement on ebay if no longer under warranty
If you use a clean lint free cloth with a mild solution of washing up liquid, that will remove the greasy marks. Be sure to wring the cloth almost dry before use as we don't want liquid flowing down and into the electronics through the tiny gap between the screen and the front panel. Hope that helps.
Well it seems that you need a new remote for your TV, but first i suggest you to try cleaning your old remote. Please follow the below steps - 1. Take a screw driver (depends on your remote) and carefully remove the screws and keep it safe. 2. Remove the back cover with care and separate the key panel and the remote board(the circuit board) 3. Now place the circuit board above a paper and clear it with a soft dry cloth. 4. Take few drops of kerosene or any mild detergent on a damp cloth and gently wipe on the circuit board, you can see a blackish settlement on the cloth after you wipe it. its the dirt. Blow it manually or use a blower. 5. leave it aside for a minute. Then with a another dry soft cloth make a final wipe and ur remote is clean. 6. Now you have to properly place back the key panel and the circuit, after that close the back cover with care and re screw it. If further you have the same problem then it's sure that you need a new remote for your TV.
Hard crusties? what do you do to have this type of matter on the screen?
Be carful with what you use on the screen, a damp cloth is permissable. This does not mean spraying liquid directly on the screen and wiping it
Spray into the cloth or dampen cloth and wring out well. Do not let any excess water drip down the screen especially if it gets into the TV via the outer frame around the screen.otherwise poof it will never work again
