Question about HP OfficeJet 7310 All-In-One InkJet Printer

I have a new Dell computer and am trying to install my HP Officejet printer 7310. I am getting the error that the software cannot be installed through the "run command" so I restarted the computer and now am getting the error that I need to login as the administrator. I am the only user on the computer and am the administrator so why am I getting this error. I am on the New Microsoft 7 operating system.

Hi,

The disk you are using is not compatible with Win 7.

You need to download the latest version of Printer drivers and software from the website

HP OfficeJet 7310 Support

Click on the Software & Driver Downloads link, then select your operating system from the drop down menu.

You can download the software or order a CD.

If you tried to install the older software, uninstall it before loading the new.

I'm trying to scan a document, but the computer I want it to go to is not on the list. Also the computer is not recognizing the printer as also a scanner. The printer is an HP OfficeJet 7310...


is the solution center or hp director installed on the pc? look under add/remove and check if it's included in the list of programs installed. if it is there,look for it's icon on the desktop or click on start,all programs,hp folder,hp director and hp solution center.launch it from there.use it to scan from your computer.check for error messages and let me know.
if it is not installed ,you may need the disk to install it.or go to hp.com and click on support and drivers to download the latest version of the printer software.

I can scan using HP director by loading one page at a time on glass, but when I try to use the "scan to" button on the printer, it lets me select computer, then I choose save to a file and it comes back...


I had this problem and had to re-install the software. It might have been caused by installing a second HP printer, or perhaps from unplugging the printer to move it. Don't know.

My program for Officejet 7310 all in one is installed but whenever I try to scan, I get a message that the software needs to be installed. What do I do?


Try going to Hp soltions for updated drivers. Also windows has it own scanning drivers. Try going to control panel and selecting scanner devices, and go through the installation wizard to install a scaning device, if your scanner is not listed then just click on install new device.

HP Officejet 7310 All-in-One will not install to Vista OS


It won't work with Vista. You'll have to throw it away. Seriously, HP didn't write any drivers for it or any new software for it and Vista. This has always been one of the major complaints with Vista and printers.

may be u have not installed the full feature software on your new computer , or if u have installed a newer version .

in case u r not able to find Hp Director on your computer , try to search for HP solution center , that is the upgraded version for hp directror .

or

u can reinstall the new software for office jet 7310 from the following link .
