Question about Kodak EASYSHARE 5500 All-In-One InkJet Printer
During installation the "Connect the device to the USB port just keeps showing and it appears it is not working to connect. I have checked all connections, but it doesn't seem to be completing.
Try updating the printer's firmware. I had the same problem with my Windows XP machine and my Kodak 5500 AiO Printer. Then, I went to Kodak's website, looked for my printer, and downloaded their firmware update. The only curious thing is that when I ran the software to update the printer, it said the firmware version of the update was the same as the firmware version the printer already had. I went ahead and updated anyway, and now it works!
Just be careful when updating the firmware on your printer, follow Kodak's intructions.
