Change the switch. Sometimes gently yanking on the chain releases the jam. More often than not, the switch needs to be replaced which requires dis-assembling the fan.

How to fix pull chain for lights on a ceiling fan?

You will probably have to replace the switch that is controlled by the chain. You will need one withe the same number of wires coming out of it. Find out the type of fan and google it. If it is a cheap fan I would replace the entire unit, it if is also old.

Model: 21647 chain is stuck for light

When you say stuck I assume you mean it is stuck in the fan. You have to carefully unwind the fan to release the chain pulling slightly as you unwind.
If the switch itself is broken they are an easy fix from any home repair or electric supply house

I have a hampton ceiling fan and the chain for the light switch is stuck...what should I do?

The chain is easily replaced or repaired, sometimes just a drop of oil will get it slipping again. But the hardware store carries the little pull chain switches , they are a fit all. Turn off the power if you are worried about getting zapped, just take of the wire nuts from the old switch and replace the switch, hook the wires back up just how they were, you should be all set. Check it out.

The pulley chain broke on the light on my ceiling fan and there is no slack to turn the light on or off. Can you please tell me how to fix or replace pulley?

To replace chain switch with a new one (available at a hardware store), first turn off power to the fan. Unscrew the nut on the bottom of the fan which holds the coverplate in place. Find two wires going to the switch, pull them out of the enclosure, take the wire nuts off. Now you can take the old switch out by unscrewing the locking nuts that hold it in place. Put the new switch in by reversing the instructions for removal.
Good Luck.

Pull chain for fan difficult to operate

All Hunter ceiling fans are "remote control" adaptable. Consider a remote control for it.
There are Nylon pull strings fitted with a ball clasps on the ends. Consider that, too.

Try taking the chain guide off, so you can remove
the chain. This will free the stucked up chain.
Replace the chain guide, and the chain. Hope this will solve your problem.
