Mitsubishi VS-50705 50" Projection TV

Comment by f_crabb, posted on Jun 14, 2008 Thanks for the advise, I have been looking around the signal board and where the capacitors you told me to change I cant see any leakage. However there is some leakage around the Antenna input connection. I took the box ( antenna input box) off and there is a really sticky, clear liquid that is rather thick on the bottom side of the little box and on to the board. Could this be the problem? I tlooks that the liquid came from this somewhere but I cannnot find the source of it by looking. Please advise, thank you very much!

Ok, whats the CRTS? Are you talking about the silver box that has the three coaxial connections that plugs into two vertical silver boxes? It looks like the liquid is coming from the silver box, which is elevated off the board, in which the ant input plugs into. I took the side cover off and found no evidence in that part. Could it have come thru where the ant input plug into the two verrtical silver boxes? Thank You very much for your help!

I jus posted a response to tell you where else to look for that liquid as its most likely the CRTs leaking.

Crts are the picture tubes. the coolant can drip down onto the chassis fro above at the top of the picture tubes.

The picture on my Mitsubishi Model VS-45607 is not staying on track and scrolling continually

Good Day,
It sounds like you have a bad cap or IC. Replace C2P05 100 ufd 16 volts, off Pin 3 of IC2P01. It is on the Signal Board. IC2P01 Part # 270P466020 (stand-up type mounted on heat sink). The Signal Board is the the board on the left hand side looking at the TV from the back. The parts are on the right side of the Signal Brd towards the middle and back. Replace it even if it checks good. Look at other Caps in the general area and if you see black stuff on the negitive leg of those caps(replace them also).

Good Luck, Big Irish.

Mitsubishi vs-55707 or vs-50707????? bouncing horizontal lines weird color

If the picture looks like a 3D then you have a convergence failure.
I would suggest to visually inspect the STK Ics for dry or crystallized solder joints.
IC8C01 - STK392-110
IC8C02 - STK392-110

I have responded to this in the original posting. I'd rather keep things there to retain the entire context.

Mitsubishi VS-5071 rear projection turns on, has audio but no video

That is a VZ3 chassis, similar to Mitsubishi models Ts-4545, Ts-5045, Ts-5545, Vs-4543, Vs-4544, Vs-5043, Vs-5044, Vs-5047, Vs-6043, Vs-6047 and has common failures in the vertical circuit, specifically vert Ic401 which is a La7845 which is usually caused by defective C402 100uf 50v and/or open 1.2 ohm 2 watt R510 next to FBT.
If not that check C268 off Q215 on signal board 22mf/50v and Ic200 on signal module Cxa2025s. However the vertical failure is more likely.

Mitsubishi VS-45607 45" Big Screen

Good Day, Delano1981;

It may cure the problem but I would suspect the 9 Volt source
CHECK C2P05 100 UFD 16 V OFF PIN 3 OF IC2P01 AND
IC2P01 PART # 270P466020 (9-VOLT REGULATOR). BOTH
ARE ON THE SIGNAL PCB.

This should resolve your TV"s condition.

Good Luck, big IRISH.

Tv lost color

Your problem most likely is on the signal board is my guess. If your not a technician it would be in your best interest to have him check L2C60 on the signal board.

I just had this same exact problem. I looked for an answer on here and could not find one. So I took the back off, vacuumed and cleaned everything out with the hose on my house vacuum, cleaned the bulbs and wiggled them around some. Voila !!!! lights on and all is working fine and better then ever. I hope this helps someone fix their problem. Just saved me tons of money and a morning of hassle.
