ask a friend if u can try it on there ds if its just ur ar i did with my brothers cus i kinda had same problem and it would do same thign on mine so i had to get a new one, well im thinking aboiut gettign 1
Well, i suggest that if u have AR, dont use it for a while, as AR may be getting confused and making ur games funny. If u dont have AR, it may be broken so u might have to get a new one. Hope i helped u!
im sorry but you might have to be a bit more specific. I dont think u can update a ds game. and u cant connect it to the computer. the possible putcome i gathered from that is that he wants to play his game online and trade pokemon etc. meaning u need to connect the ds to your computer wirelessly using a -nintendo wi-fi usb connector-( a usb drive u basically plug into ur computer and gives off internet for nintendo products) or a -wireless router or modem- ( the black box that the cables go through for internet).
When your grandson plays the game and wants to go online, (i will explain how to use this using directions in the game) 1. turn on the ds and load the game 2. watch the introduction movie (shiny pokemon) 3. on the main screen where you decide to either continue, new game, or -NINTENDO WFC SETTINGS-, go to nintendo wfc settings 4.tap the blue box labelled nintendo wi-fi connection settings 5.if ur using a Wi-fi usb tap connect to wifi usb or if using wireless internet tap a blank connection square 6. follow the prompts for the wifi usb and u will be connected to the internet 7. for wireless internet, tap search for an access point 8. when it has found the wireless internet tap O.K/connect/next etc and follow the prompts 9.when thats connected return to pokemon Diamond main screen then tap new game/continue to play 10. walk to the pokemon centre and go downstairs to battle online - or go into a house in (Jublife city?) to trade pokemon online
WOAH!! that was a lot of writing! hope i helped plz make a comment or something if u need my help again
Try resetting the hardware by following these steps:
1/ With the console powered off, hold A+B. 2/ Power up the console while still holding A+B. 3/ As soon as the Nintendo screen is displayed, before our screen stating this product is not endorsed by Nintendo, press and hold Start and Select while keeping hold of A+B. 4/ Continue to hold these buttons until the Main Action Replay screen is displayed, then release. Your product is reset, and will accept codes once more.
I do not have credit. these instructions were from codejunkies.com (creators of AR). then try uploading them on the computor.
Sorry, my last desc should be ignored here are all to solutions to problems. I know:
Prob: Two white Screens: Solution: none so far, have emails sent to Datel. see what happens. This occurs when attempting save codes with the DS and the AR is pulled out or DS powered off. My suggestion if you get a new one, only update codes using the PC software.
Prob: AR keeps asking for game cart. insertion: Solution: remove AR and put in game cart.
Prob: AR not enough memory to update codes: Solution: there is more bugs in their software/firmware that doesn't really know when items are deleted and space is free. You must reset AR cart. and then use the PC software to reload all the codes:
a) First I would update the AR PC software (no DS AR connected) b) Connect DS with AR to PC then update the AR firmware c) Disconnect DS AR from PC d) DS off hold A+B when TURN ON DS when DS logo shows press START+SELECT with A+B still down as well, hold for a while. turn off DS e) Reconnect to PC, turn on DS and drag the PC US codes to the DS side. (Note: I had to do 4 & 5 a couple of times it finally worked)
Prob: AR PC software not seeing the DS AR connection: Solution: The PC drivers are not being found for the NDS link. You need to do the following:
a) close the AR PC software, and disconnect the AR DS. b) connect the AR DS and then the windows new hardware driver install window pops up. must select using the manual browse option. c) go the the action replay directory either on the action replay CD you bought or from a extracted version from the web. (NOTE: this is not the installed location, but before where the setup.exe exists) I had lost my CD and did about 10 minutes and found a .rar of the source code. d) pick the action replay subdirectory and click on install e) you should see the NDS link drivers being installed. f) start the AR PC software and attempt to connect the DS AR it should work.
