As long as you havn't deleted the 'hidden partition oir 'formatted your hard disk. then you will be able to 'reset to factory'

The method used to restore software and drivers depends on the operating system that was originally installed on your notebook PC.

There are several pages at HP for your machine. I think this one may be what you want.
You use the F11 key to start recoverry

About the Disk Error message your machine have. It means that the Storage Device(Hard Disk Drive or HDD) in you machine is about to go bad or its already bad, what I suggest try to back up your data ASAP by removing the HDD of your machine and take it to any Computer Local Center and have them backup you data and they can also tell you if the HDD is already bad that they can't backup your data.

I have a problem with hp dv9000.. the operating system wont boot.. even wen i insert any booting disk, it shows the first screen with hp and its logo and then it becomes blank.. i presume my harddisk is...

Try going to the bios and reset the bios to load factory defaults and then reboot. If the same thing happens try taking the hard drive out and reboot, if the same thing happens again its not your hardrive because it would say no boot disk after post. Iam guesing it may be a bios fault because after the logo it goes blank not while loading the os(operating system).

Give this a try and post back your findings.

Game doesn't run without dvd and doesnt run smooth!!!!

the first question, its a a copy protection, no its better to play with the dvd if you actually own the game.

I have a hp pavilion tx2000 touch screen, and my screen got shattered, ironically it still has a visible screen, since the comp0uter got broken it hasnt ran right. I get screens that are not responding, no...

you can solve this problem in easy way:

if you have same disk which you have in your system installed then:
insert that disk (OS disk or recovery disk) dvd/cd drive
then go to start>Run then type in
"sfc /scannow" without quotes and hit enter
it takes couple of minutes to reset back your all settings and it does not deletes any files or folders which you have, it just updates as it was in first time.
once it done then reboot your system and you will be good to go.
Note: there is Space between "sfc and /" so if you don't hit space then it won't let you to go.

Thank you

Hp 5000 pavilion reset bios password

not exactly, the old pentiums need to have bios reinstalled from dos command screen, or from a disk. not autoinstall like the newer pentiums and above.
