  • Turn over the projector on a soft surface. Use a phillips head screwdriver to push and realease the tab on the lamp cover. The plate lifts up.
  • Use the screwdriver to loosen the two screws holding the lamp module in place. These screws do not come out.
  • Pull the lamp module completely out of the projector. This is the lamp. You will replace with a new lamp module
  • reverse the process to install.

I have done above but the projector does not turn on, it trys to but then the power light blings orange and the status light blinks red for 6 times then pauses. This is a new lamp and when I put the old one back, it turns on just fine. The reason why I am changing the lamp is because its dim.

Epson Projector, Model: EMP-X5, Epson projector shuts down after 30 minutes work

There are several things that can cause this problem, but the first thing I would check is the filter. The projector requires airflow to keep it cool. If airflow is blocked, the projector will overheat and shut down automatically.

Do they make brighter bulbs for the LitePro 580 projector

Nope. You can NOT increase brightness of a projector by installing a brighter lamp. Sorry. The only option is replacing the projector with a brighter model.

Infocus lp420 powers on (can hear sound) but no

if you get no leds, it's the power supply. if you get fans, it may be the colorwheel. if the colorwheel is ok, it's the ballast.

Infocus LP725 Replacement Bulb

if you don't know exactly how many hours are on the new lamp, you can't be sure it works. since it's a mercury lamp, there will be no contenuity. check the lamp for cracks or clouding, not just burn marks.if the lamp is actually good, you may have a ballast issue.

I also had this issue - followed the On, Input, Undo, Left, Enter, Right, On button sequence several times. Then I decided to push them in that sequence very quickly and it worked. The lamp LED on the front changed to green and the projector started up. So the button sequence they provide in the manual works, you just have to push them in rapid succession. Hope that helps.
