Question about Nokia E71 Smartphone

1 Answer

I bought a used Nokia E 71 cell phone with a full mail box. In an effort to free up some memory space I have attempted to delete email from the device and the remote server. The user guide tells me to go to Options> Delete> Phone and Server. Unfortunately I can only get as far as Options> Delete and that's it. Where can I find Phone and Server? I would appreciate step by step instructions. This will be my third request for help but no hurry for this one.

I can't seem to find the correct message except that mail box is full. I remember a message suggesting I delete some of all of the messages to free up some memory. Sorry I am unable to help further.

I know so little about this phone or any phone for that matter I am unable to respond intelligently. The area I am referring to is messaging and it's the inbox that is full. 200 messages shown to me in red numbers... If you need more then my brain can deliver perhaps it' best to put this one on the shelf and forget it for now. When i have another problem I will get back to you with better info.

What is the actual error you are getting, the phone is saying "full mailbox" or these are messages you are getting?

Please give me some more information here, it is almost impossible to fill your mailbox on the actual phone...

Just reply to my answer here and I can help

That is a message coming from your email hosting people... telling you the mailbox on the server is nearly full. Is this a work email account, personal email account..?

    Thanks

Ok no problem. But you may want to check with your email provider (if it's work email ask work, if it's personal email then whoever you pay your monthly bill to for internet) and see if your mail box is full on their side.

    Thanks,
    Tim

Well if you are getting emails on the phone, someone is "providing" the emails...

I keep getting a low or full memory message andthen it stops loading emails Nokia 6710 Navigator

This probably means that your phone is running out of space to store information. I would try to delete old sms/mms, emails, pictures, and other information that is no longer needed to free up some space for needed information. The phone also has a micro SD card slot that can house a micro SD card. I would check if there is one already in the phone, if not buy one and stick it in to expand your storage space.

My Nokia N70 is saying your memory is full delate some data

Welcome to Fixya

This means that you need to free up some space in you phone memory or memory card. Access the file manager from the menu and start deleting some of your files there that you dont use anymore. Files would be pictures, sounds or video. This will solved the issue once you free up some space.

Thank you for using Fixya!

delete some unnecessary files, like pictures and or music or else add a micro sd card to it which will allow a lot of more strorage space.

My N97 is showing c: phone memory full. please delete some data from phone memory

That message simply tells you that your phone memory is full and needs to delete some data in order for the phone to receive an incoming like messages or any multimedia files. Delete some unnecessary files on your phone to free up some space for other important files. Go to your phone gallery and then delete some files located in your phone memory and then restart your phone.

Now I have another problem that there is message in my mobile says that the memory is full.delete some date...and my external memory is 1G and just I used 184 M.B....please help

For your information, It is the PHONE Memory asking you to delete some files for it is full. Not the External Memory Card. Delete some files inside the phone memory to free up some space. But if you freed up some space and still the memory is full then restart your cell phone to update the system. See how it works..

Please don't forget to rate this solution. I would appreciate it. Thanks..

Cannot use the nokia pc suite on nokia n 73 it says memory is full even though my phone was on memory mode.and my phone was still 1.7gig free.

This is a common problem with this nokia. The actual phone memory (not the memory card) is full. Go to menue and then OPTIONS. Select MEMORY DETAILS and select the Phone Memory. If the phone has low memory, then try deleting some contents like Text, MMS, Emails..... and see if that helps. Also you can try doing a *#7780# to do a Reset if deleting the text and MMS did not work. It will reset your phone but does not delete your data
