MITSU 65513 BLINKING GREEN LIGHT WONT POWER UP

Good Day, xbossux;
This a very common problem with model. Don't listen to other comments unless the use the correct replacement parts.

SYMPTOM: Power LED does not stop blinking after plug in.

CURE: replace C9B01, C9B02,C9B10, and C9B11 (1000 uFD 16V) on the DM PCB. Replace them with part # 181P734030 (680uFd 16V).

The DM Board (PCB) is located on the very left side of the TV looking from back. Caution on removing Board and note what cables you disconnect to access the Metal Shielded Board.
Good Luck, big IRISH.

Lightning strike

Hello bkindle.....not a boat anchor YET!!!! Had similar problem with WS-55513 and it turned out to be a faulty DM board. There are 4 capacitors on the board that may have blown. If yo can solder, it is a pretty easy repair. I purchased a PDF manual for mine online to get familiar with the model.

Otherwise, you can expect to pay between 275.00 for a repaired board OR between 350.00 and 450.00 for a replacement board from Sears or Mitsubishi.

Hope this helps. I know it is frustrating but be patient.

Good Luck - Richard (MetalDad)

Mitsubishi ws-55513 blinking power light

The infamous flashing green LED problem is usually due to a failing or faulty DM board. I purchased the PDF manual online and was able to locate and remove the components as necessary.

If you can solder, and are semi-proficient with electronics it is 4 bad capacitors on the DM board...

Otherwise there are facilities that can repair your failed board for about 275.00 or replacement of the board is between 350.00 and 500.00 buck USD.

Good Luck with your repairs....

Short Protect Problem

The problem is usually a failing or faulty DM board which can be fixed with replacing the 4 bad capacitors...OR...if you cant solder it yourself, a repair facility may charge 250.00 or so and takes about a week turn around time.

The other option is buying a replacement board either from Sears or Mitsubishi from 350.00 and up.

Hope you have good luck. If I can help anymore, let me know.

Rechecked the conections and still

well..that's interesting...before you begin, have you determined a source for replacement components? I'd be hesitant to do all that work, NOT knowing if there are readily available form fit function components for it. Don't assume that overseas manufactured appliances have a ready distribution system for spare parts.

Mitsubishi WS55513 ---Flashing Green LEDs...and now NO POWER.. Hi...got the entire board / chassis out of the TV shell. Going to start checking individual components, starting with the mail power supply...

start by pulling the DM board (looking from the back it is standing upright on the left side in a metal chassis) and you'll probably find 4 bad capacitors (bulging on the tops is a good indication, If i remember correctly they are near the top right corner)
you can buy replacements here..

Fixed mine this way several months ago..still working like new.

Good luck

Toshiba model 61HX70 convergence issue

It is a good possibility you damaged something on that PCB that had the IC's, I like to use an upgraded chip the STK394-160e that is designed for HD signal stresses. I dont know why they ordered the convergence board but I suspect it would have been ok, there are also 2 jumpers that need soldering JW10 and JW50 that supply power to the chips and they REQUIRE resoldering or it will fail again. Might try reseating the RED CRT board, check for cables that you may have unhooked to see if they are not seated in their sockets properly, double check every wire you unhooked, Make sure you used a Silicone Heatsink Compound on to the back of the IC's. I dont know what all you unhooked, but check the wires going between the CRT Boards. Check for cracks in the boards to make sure they werent flexed to much. Good Luck.
