Mode Flipping Problem

My camera is having the same problem as listed by someone else. All of a sudden, it seems like I'm switching modes, but it's my camera, not me. I find that this happens when I jiggle the camera, even lightly. Help!

Try a RESET first: Some cameras have a RESET button
built into them or a menu option to reset the camera to the default
settings. The manuals of some camera models may have instructions on
how to initialize the camera, which is
another name for resetting the camera to the default or original
factory settings. Refer to the instruction manual supplied with your
camera for specific information regarding the availability of a RESET button or menu option to initialize or reset the default settings. Manuals are available online in the Manuals/Specs/Warranty section of the Sony® eSupport Web site.
Otherwise, continue with the manual reset procedure below:

    1. Turn off the camera.

    2. Ensure the camera is not connected to an AC power adapter.

    3. Remove the battery from the camera for 15 seconds.

    4. Reinsert the battery.

    5. Turn on the camera.
NOTE: If the issue is not resolved by performing a reset procedure, service may be required .

If your camera is not under warranty, just put your Zip code in the box titled 'Repair Service' at the right of this dialogue box, and it will show you a page on Fixya where you can locate local repair centers..

If you find my solution helpful in any way, kindly take a moment to "Accept" my solution. Thanks.

Hi, I have a Canon Powershot A700 digital camera and I am facing a problem with it. The 'Mode Switch' button, which changes the mode from Shoot/Record mode to Play/View mode is not working....

If you have the manual for this camera turn to page 15.
This tells you how to switch between Shooting Mode and Playback Mode.
This is achieved simply by pressing the DISP button.
This button is located below and to the left of the FUNC/SET button.
Pressing DISP repeatedly toggles between Shooting Mode and Playback Mode.
I would suggest you try these steps with your Mode Switch in both positions alternately.

New to photography. Coolpix s3000. shooting in auto mode. When taking a photo of someone and they move just a little bit, say their hand it blurs. Is this normal for this camera. I have an older Nikon and...

Hi, With auto mode on that camera that is normal I've found. Auto mode on that camera seems to leave the shutter open just long enough to capture the tiniest bit of motion. If you're looking to shoot in a mode where that doesn't happen I suggest shooting in sports mode or kids mode.

Video quality suddenly reduced

That means you have mistakenly changed it from Standared Mode  to Compact Mode ..
  1. Standared Mode: Hi Quality with the (Video Camera Symbol)
  2. Compact Mode: Low Quality with the (Vidoe Camera + Envelope Letter Symbol)
The Solution: Rotate the Wheel to toggle between these 2 Modes
